Patent number: 12227901Abstract: In manufacturing two-sided laminated cardboard (1) in a laminating apparatus (10), by controlling band tensions of a first outer layer (11) and a second outer layer (12), a torque difference between an exerted first torque (Q1) in an upper roller (21) and an exerted second torque (Q2) in a lower roller (22) is controlled towards a pre-determined value (?Q) of said torque difference, while at the same time a torque addition sum of the first torque and the second torque is controlled towards a pre-determined constant value (Q) of said torque addition sum. Thus the invention provides an effective and reliable solution for counteracting concaveness or convexness, in the conveying direction (MD), of the two-sided laminated cardboard (1) to be manufactured.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2021Date of Patent: February 18, 2025Assignee: Eska B.V.Inventor: Albertus Uil

Patent number: 8940111Abstract: In a first step of the method of achieving TRIP microstructure in steels by deformation heat, steel feedstock is heated to a temperature below the temperature at which austenite begins to form in the steel in question, i.e. below AC1. In a next step, the feedstock is formed into a final product, using applied severe plastic deformation whereby deformation energy causes the temperature of the material to increase to the final temperature between AC1 and AC3, and whereupon the ferrite-pearlite microstructure transforms into austenite. In a third or last process step, the final product is cooled down from the final temperature to the temperature of the bainite nose of the material (B). The cooling is then interrupted and the material is held at the temperature of the bainite nose (B). Consequently, the TRIP microstructure forms. Finally, the product is cooled down to ambient temperature.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2012Date of Patent: January 27, 2015Assignee: Západo{hacek over (c)}eská Univerzita V PlzniInventors: Bohuslav Ma{hacek over (s)}ek, Hana Jirková, Andrea Rone{hacek over (s)}ová, {hacek over (S)}t{hacek over (e)}pán Jení{hacek over (c)}ek, Ctibor {hacek over (S)}tádler

Patent number: 8546455Abstract: The invention relates to a method of solubilizing expanded polystyrene (EPS), in which the EPS is brought into contact with at least one initial solvent, enabling the transition of the EPS from an expanded solid state to the gel state. The aforementioned gel is subsequently treated with at least one complementary solvent that is different from the initial solvent, enabling the solubilization thereof such as to produce a true solution. The invention also relates to the product thus obtained and to the use of said product.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2004Date of Patent: October 1, 2013Assignee: EskaInventors: Franck Poutch, Pierre Dalet, José Alcorta

Patent number: 7771485Abstract: A ball joint or cap for an artificial hip joint is described that is suitable for carrying out a rotating or pivoting motion in an artificial hip joint socket, with a gap being provided for a natural fluid film (synovial fluid) between itself and the artificial hip joint socket, and with regular depressions without interconnecting channels between them being recessed in areas of its surface. It is proposed that its surface in the polar area is smooth and without depressions, that an area is provided in an intermediate area between the smooth polar area and its equator, in which depressions are recessed with hole widths between 1.0 mm to 3.0 mm, that adjacently in the intermediate area in the direction of its base edge, further depressions are recessed, the hole widths of which become steadily smaller, the closer they lie to the base edge, with hole widths between 0.5 mm and 1.0 mm.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 2008Date of Patent: August 10, 2010Assignee: ESKA Implants GmbH & Co., KGInventor: Hans Grundei

Patent number: 7628820Abstract: A set is provided for creating an offset-resurfacing hip-joint implant. The set includes a 1 to 1.5 mm thick metallic acetabulum shell (1) for insertion into the natural acetabulum, from which only cartilage has been removed, a metallic head cap (2) for placement on the natural hip-joint head, from which only cartilage has been removed, and an inlay (3) for insertion into the acetabulum shell (1) as a sliding partner for the head cap (2). The inlay has a material thickness of 2 to 5 mm. The head cap (2) has a wall thickness which increases constantly from a thickness of 2 mm to 6 mm viewed in cross section in the region of the base edge (6) of the head cap, so that an eccentricity is produced in its outer shape.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 2008Date of Patent: December 8, 2009Assignee: ESKA Implants GmbH & Co.
