    Abstract: A method of and apparatus for identifying a selected target among a field or group of targets wherein each of the targets is caused to assume a unique characteristic. The characteristic of the selected target is sensed and compared to a record of the characteristics of all the targets. Correlation of the selected characteristic with one of the characteristics of record identifies the selected target.
