Abstract: A mounting plate for a storage box, has a rigid plate having a front face having a surface, a back face opposite the front face, and at least one passage through the front face to the back face to receive a portion of a storage box. The mounting plate has a lock with a key mechanism accessible from a user side. The lock has a rotatable locking bar positioned on the second side, the rotatable locking bar having a flange, the rotatable locking bar further responsive to an activation of the key mechanism, whereby the flange is configured to engage the storage box when the lock is in a locked configuration. The passage and the rotatable locking bar affix the storage box substantially adjacent the front face of the rigid plate when the lock is in the locked configuration.
Abstract: A toolbox mounting device has a rail, a lock arm, and a lock assembly. The lock arm is affixed to the rail and has a flange surface and recess shaped and configured to engage a first surface of a toolbox, the lock arm having a fixed shape. The lock assembly has a locking mechanism, a plunger, and a detent assembly having a detent shaped and configured to engage a second surface of the toolbox. The detent assembly and detent are positioned, shaped, and configured to snap the toolbox to the mounting device when the toolbox is pressed against the lock arm and the detent. The plunger is positioned, shaped, and configured to disengage the detent from the toolbox in response to a pulling action on the plunger. The locking mechanism is positioned, shaped, and configured to selectively prevent the plunger from moving in response to the pulling action.
Abstract: A mounting device has a bracket having two ear portions. The bracket is couplable to a surface and rotatable relative to a first horizontal axis. A first pivot arm is coupled to a first one of the two ear portions. A second pivot arm is coupled to a second one of the two ear portions. The first and second pivot arms are rotatably coupled to the respective first and second ear portions relative to a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. The mounting device is configured to move between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the first and second pivot arms hang vertically relative to the surface.
