Abstract: A disposable pant-type absorbent article includes a chassis and an absorbent body. The chassis has a front portion and a back portion and each of the front and back portions has a waist edge, a pair of leg edges and a pair of side edges. The front and back portions are joined to each other at opposite side edges to at least partly define a waist-opening and a pair of leg-openings. The absorbent body is located mainly in a crotch portion of the article. An elastic leg feature is fastened to the chassis at least partly along leg edges. The elastic leg feature extends from the associated side edge towards a centre line in the longitudinal direction of the article. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding method of manufacturing a pant-type absorbent article, as well as an array of gender-specific, disposable, absorbent articles.

Abstract: An absorbent article having a main body having a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core sandwiched between the topsheet and the backsheet is disclosed. The main body has longitudinal and transversal axes. The article has two wings extending asymmetrically outward from a crotch portion of the main body with respect to the longitudinal axis. The wings each have a means for fastening them to a garment when folded over the main body towards the longitudinal axis. The fastening means for each wing are offset from each other in the longitudinal direction. A method for manufacturing the absorbent article is also disclosed.

Abstract: A multi-ply fibrous product includes at least two fibrous plies, such as a multi-ply nonwoven product, a tissue paper product or a hybrid thereof including at least two tissue paper plies and/or nonwoven plies including cellulosic fibers. At least two fibrous plies are bonded to each other by an aqueous adhesive composition including an adhesive component and a dermatologically acceptable acid, and optionally a salt thereof. A process for the manufacture of this multi-ply fibrous product includes (a) providing at least two fibrous webs, (c) applying an aqueous adhesive composition including an adhesive component and a water-soluble, dermatologically acceptable acid, and optionally the corresponding salt thereof, to at least one side of at least one fibrous web, d) superimposing at least two webs such that the aqueous adhesive composition is located between at least two superimposed webs, and e) bonding at least two webs together.

The article has, in the longitudinal direction, a front portion, a back portion, and a crotch portion located between the front and rear portions. The front and back portions define a waist edge and a leg edge, and the crotch portion defines two crotch edges. A first elastic element extends along the waist edge, a second elastic element extends along the leg edge and a third and a fourth elastic element each extend along one of the crotch edges. The topsheet or the bottomsheet or another sheet is folded along the waist edge, leg edge and crotch edges so as to enclose at least a part of each corresponding elastic element.

Abstract: An end plug to be inserted axially into the centre of an end of a roll of paper, includes a holding element adapted to hold and/or guide the end of the roll of paper in correct position in a dispenser. The end plug includes an outer sleeve having an outer end and an inner end and the holding element is connected to the sleeve by elements allowing the holding element to be axially moved from a first position to a second position, in which the holding element protrude outwardly from the outer end of the sleeve, the holding element being releasably held in the first position when moved thereto. Abstract: An absorbent article in the form of pants includes: an absorbent core having two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges, and a pant part. The pant part includes a covering layer, a front section, a back section and an intermediate crotch section, wherein the front and back sections are connected to one another along two opposing longitudinal lateral edges to form a waist opening and a pair of leg openings. The absorbent core is arranged at least in the crotch section and connected to the covering layer on the side of the covering layer that is intended to face the wearer. The pant part includes at least one low-opacity area, which has an opacity that is lower than 50%. The article also includes a liquid-tight coloured barrier layer placed between said absorbent core and covering layer.

Abstract: A separation unit for separating a web material along preformed lines of weakness. The separation unit includes a first roller, and a second roller having a rotational axis extending parallel with the rotational axis of the first roller. The rotational axis of the second roller is positioned at a distance from the rotational axis of said first roller. Each of the first and second rollers is provided with at least one protrusion element. Outer portions of the protrusion elements on the first roller are partially overlapping with outer portions of the protrusion elements on the second roller with a radial overlap length, thus forming an undulating passage for a web material between the rollers. The distance between the rotational axes of the first and the second rollers is adjustable, enabling the radial overlap length in the undulating passage to be variable. Abstract: A process for collecting and storing data related to a condition of an absorbent product is disclosed. The process includes the steps of: receiving, in a server unit, measurement data related to said condition; storing said measurement data in a first database; adapting said measurement data to a format in which it can be utilized by at least one application program configured for analyzing said condition; storing the adapted measurement data in a second database; and providing access to said second database from at least one application program arranged for analyzing said measurement data. Also disclosed is an arrangement for collecting and storing incontinence-related data.
