Abstract: Disclosed are solid silicone compositions comprising low molecular weight polyethylene solidifying agents and one or more non-volatile silicone fluids, along with a method for their preparation. The compositions are suitable for topical application to skin or hair, and are particularly useful in the preparation of novel skin treatment, hair treatment, lipstick and makeup products.

Abstract: The present invention provides a disposable applicator for sampling cosmetics including lipsticks at the retail counters. Also provided are methods for extracting or otherwise transferring the cosmetics onto the applicator and sampling the cosmetics.
