Abstract: A chart recorder for graphically displaying data utilizing a strip of heat-sensitive paper and a row of heat-generating dots. The strip of heat-sensitive paper is advanced across the row of heat-generating dots, and the dots are selectively energized in response to data to be displayed by the chart recorder. The position of an energized dot along the row of dots corresponds to a value of data.

Abstract: A magnetic motor for use as an actuator for devices such as relays, indicators and the like.It comprises an electromagnetic winding having a core member to the opposite ends of which are fastened pole pieces which cooperate with a magnetically movable armature. An additional pole piece as well as a permanent magnet are also provided.One end of the armature is caused to contact or engage one of the pole pieces or, in the alternative, to engage or contact alternatively several different pole pieces. The opposite end of such armature is shaped so as to provide a generally U-shaped air gap with the other pole piece, and the armature is so positioned as to move from one side of coplanar relationship with such other pole piece to the other side thereof.

Abstract: Apparatus for providing an offset digital printout of numbers or characters on a multipoint chart recorders with thermal matrix printing. A print head is operable to mark a chart with analog value indications in the form of graphs and is also operable to print numbers and characters at selected positions on the chart. The alphanumeric indications designate particular plots on the chart paper, a time indication or preselected numerical representations.

Abstract: A chart recorder has a drawer containing a supply of chart paper fed to the chart marking area, and an accumulation of marked chart paper received from the chart marking area. A flexible curved guide is connected to the drawer and to a permanent fixed guide and assumes different configurations when the drawer is moved from the chart accumulating position during a recording mode of operation, to a chart loading position when the drawer is moved to position for removing an accumulation of marked chart paper and installing and threading a new supply of chart paper during the chart threading mode. The configuration of the flexible guide aids in threading paper onto a drive roll during the threading mode, and aids in guiding the paper around obstructions and onto the roll during the recording mode.
