Abstract: This invention relates to a quick connection of a tube capable of being fitted in a connector, said tube presenting, at a determined distance from its end, a shoulder, whilst the connector comprises an O-ring intended to come into contact with the tube in the zone located between its end and the shoulder. A member for locking the tube is mounted in the connector, said member being axially immobilized with respect to the connector and elastically deformable in the radial direction between an inactive configuration and an active configuration in which it abuts on the shoulder. A bush is mounted to slide in the connector between a first position and a second position remote from the first towards the inside of the connector, said bush presenting a stop disposed on the path of the shoulder of the tube and ensuring, in its first position, hold of the locking member in its inactive configuration, whilst the locking member is released when the bush is in its second position.

Abstract: A spring clamping collar constituted by a rolled-up metal strip with the end portions of said strip each being of a width that is substantially equal to half the width of the strip, said portions being disposed beside each other and being provided with tabs that extend radially outwardly from the collar, thereby forming abutments for engaging a pliers-like tool. Each tab extends over substantially the entire width of the strip and possesses, on its side remote from its connection to the corresponding end portion of the strip, an extension which extends over the other end portion of the strip and is directed away from the tab carried by said other end portion.

Abstract: A clamping spring collar, constituted by a rolled-up metal strip having end portions each of which is of a width substantially equal to half the width of the strip, said end portions being disposed side by side and being provided with respective tabs that are directed radially outwardly from the collar, which tabs form abutments for engaging a pliers-like tool, the strip having a cross-section that constitutes a flattened V-shape such that the central region of the inside surface of the collar has a diameter that is smaller than that of its lateral regions, wherein the angle formed between the two branches of the V-shape lies in the range 120.degree. to 165.degree., and wherein the ratio between the thickness of the strip and the length of each of its branches itself lies in the range 0.2 to 0.5.

Abstract: This invention relates to a hose clamp constituted by a band of material, generally metal, wound on itself, one of the ends of said band presenting relief elements forming a rack, whilst on the other end is fixed a housing which constitutes the support of a screw which is mounted to pivot about its axis, said screw abutting on a stop axially mobile with respect to the housing against the action of a spring. The spring is constituted by a curved blade, for example in the form of a semi-circle, whose concavity faces the inside of the clamp and whose ends are laterally in contact with the sides of the housing. A first end of said blade is axially fixed to the housing and provided with an opening in which the tail of the screw may slide, whilst the second end of the blade surrounds at least partially the shank of the screw in the vicinity of its head and is mounted to slide with respect to the sides of the housing.

Abstract: Device for connection between a flexible pipe 1 and a rigid tubular joining piece 2 intended to be fitted inside the flexible pipe. Two coaxial, rigid, tubular elements 3, 4 are disposed respectively inside and outside the end of the flexible pipe and embrace this end. The inner tubular element 3 and the outer tubular element 4 each present, in contact with the flexible pipe, two cylindrical portions of different diameters, 3a,4a-3b,4b, the one of larger diameter being located towards the free end of the flexible pipe. The portion of larger diameter 3b of the inner tubular element thus constitutes, on its inner face, a housing 5 for the O-ring, said housing being closed by an annular wall 8 fixed to the outer tubular element 4.

Abstract: This invention relates to an element for rapid connection between a supple hose pipe, for example, made of rubber, and a tube made of rigid material, such as metal, or semi-rigid material, such as a plastic material. It is constituted by an assembly of an inner and outer bush tightened around the hose pipe. A housing for an O-ring is partially formed on the inner surface of the inner bush. The housing is closed by an annular radial wall distinct from the inner bush. A tube is immobilized in the element by a split ring which provides a stop for a shoulder located at the end of an annular ramp provided on the tube. The split ring is located in a annular housing formed partly by the radial portion of a distinct bush.

Abstract: Device for locking two coaxial tubes designed to be fitted into each other, comprising a longitudinal tab which is elastically flexible in the radial direction, connected to the outer tube and presenting at least one area capable of coming into axial abutment, once the two tubes have been fitted together, with a shoulder provided in register on the outer face of the inner tube and projecting radially with respect thereto. The wall of the outer tube 2 presents a groove 5, open at the end of the tube, whose lateral edges are parallel to the axis of the tube. The outer face of the inner tube 1 presents two radially projecting guide surfaces, said surfaces being parallel to the axis of the tube and spaced apart from each other by a distance substantially equal to the one separating the lateral edges of &he groove of the outer tube, whilst the free end of the locking tab 7 is located substantially in the transverse plane of the end of the outer tube.

Abstract: This invention relates to a clamp constituted by a metal band wound on itself, of which the ends are respectively provided with complementary hooking means comprising, in particular a hook adapted to pass over a lug during the tightening operation, the inner end of the band extending, when the clamp is in closed position, at least beyond the hook. At the base of the lug supporting the hook, there is provided at least one undulation of the band, the maximum distance between the inner face of the undulation and the outer face of the extension of the inner end of the band being at the most equal to the thickness of the band and preferably included between one third and one half of this thickness.

Abstract: A clamp fitting is disclosed, constituted by a metal band wound on itself, whose ends are respectively provided with complementary hooking means, comprising a hook capable of passing behind a shoulder or ear during the clamping operation. The clamp fitting presents at least one group of two undulations, each in the form of an open loop, projecting radially with respect to the outer periphery of the clamp fitting, the zone of join of at least one undulation to the clamp fitting being constituted by a portion of band of circular section, whose radius is at least equal to twice the thickness of the band and which extends over an arc of at least 90.degree. and preferably close to 150.degree..

Abstract: An attachment clamp for securing a tube, a bundle of cables or like objects on a support is disclosed. A metal strap is wound on itself to constitute an open ring, of which one of the ends presents an extension for the passage of a fixing screw. A plurality of openings, transverse to the strap and constituted by embossed portions, are made in the end of the ring opposite the straight extension, while the other end of the ring bears an elongated tab substantially perpendicular to the straight extension. The free end of the tab is shaped as a hook directed towards the inside of the clamp and capable of being introduced in one of the openings in order to close the clamp.

Abstract: A device is disclosed for hermetically coupling two smooth tubes of the same diameter disposed end to end, particularly for coupling two elements of the exhaust pipe of an engine, such as those of automobile vehicles. A bush in one piece comprises a longitudinal slot provided with two radial assembly lips and surrounds the opposite ends of the two tubes on which it is clamped by a screw or a bolt traversing the radial lips. The bush presents two frusto-conical ends located on either side of a cylindrical central portion intended to be mounted astride the zone of connection of the two tubes and each lip of the longitudinal slot comprises at least one rigidifying element extending between said lip and each of the corresponding frusto-conical ends of the bush.

Abstract: This invention relates to a coupling for rapidly connecting a tube made of rigid material such as metal, of semi-rigid material, such as a plastics material. The coupling presents, at one end adapted to receive the tube, a bore whose diameter is substantially equal to the outer diameter of the tube, said bore being provided with at least one supple sealing means capable of coming into contact with one of the walls of the tube. Between the inlet orifice of the bore and the sealing means, the coupling comprises a housing which receives, for stopping the tube, a retractable member which is locally immobilized therein in the axial direction. The coupling and the seal of its bore are made of the same material, in a single moulding operation.

Abstract: This device relates to a clamp constituted by a metal band wound on itself, comprising complementary tightening and/or joining elements in the vicinity of each of its ends. The band presents, in a zone preferably remote from the ends, a longitudinal slit thus defining two band sections, parallel and contiguous with respect to each other. On each of the band sections is provided at least one corrugation projecting outwardly of the clamp, each corrugation of one of the band sections being offset circumferentially with respect to each corrugation of the other band section.

Abstract: Clamp for joining two metal pipes, particularly of the type constituting the exhaust system of a vehicle engine, the ends in facing relationship of the two tubes to be joined having conical shape complementary bearing surfaces which project with respect to the cylindrical outer surface of the pipes. The clamp is constituted by an open ring of inverted V-shaped cross-section, the two ends of which ring comprise bearing elements for means provided for tightening and holding the ring in its closed position when the clamp has been placed over the pipes to be joined.

Abstract: The invention relates to a clamp constituted by a band of metal comprising, at each one of its ends, complementary tightening and/or fastening means, whereas the inner end of the band comprises an extension which goes beyond the corresponding fastening means, under the outer end of the band.In this clamp, the transversal edge of the band, which constitutes the free end of the extension, has a profile indented into the band, such as an .OMEGA.-shaped profile, whereas close to its outer end, and on this side of the corresponding tightening and/or fastening means, said band comprises an elongated boss, which projects from its inner face, and is adapted to penetrate into the indented profile of the free end of the extension, said boss having its maximum height substantially equal to the thickness of the band.

Abstract: A clamp constituted by a band of metal wound over itself and comprising at one of its end, called outer end, and close to the other end, called inner end, complementary fastening means, the metal band being extended, beyond the fastening means situated at the inner end, by a part which, in the unfastened position of the clamp, spreads between the two fastening means, clamp wherein the inner end of the band ends into a bent-up part, generally shaped as an outwardly directed T, whereas the outer end is provided, at the back of its fastening means, with a longitudinal slot of which the width is at least equal to that of the vertical bar of the T.

Abstract: Method of assembly of the shell with the strap of a clamping collar, and collars obtained with this method.This method consists in fixing the strap under the shell of the collar and no longer by passage inside the latter. With this in mind the shell (7) has, in the part forming its base (8), cut-outs preferably forming two tongues provided between remaining parts of the base. These tongues are cranked and the shell is fitted over the strap in a straddling position. The tongues are then flattened, the force applied preferably causing the corresponding strap portion (2) to penetrate by bending into the opening thus formed in the base of the shell. A non-slip bond is obtained between the shell and the strap owing to raised parts of the strap penetrating into the cut-out or opening in the base of the shell and forming immobilization stops.

The second ear 5 has an extension 6 which is substantially parallel to the periphery of the clamp and extends as far as close to the first ear 2, comprising at its end a portion 7 bent towards the clamp.

Abstract: This clamp ring comprises a strip provided at one end with a series of transversally extending ridges or like profiles and carry at its other end a housing for a rotatably mounted screw which engages said ridges for tightening the ring. The housing has a straight bottom supporting the ridged part of the strip and said housing is disposed relative to the ring such that the first operative screwthread of the screw is disposed substantially on a diametral plane of the ring, while the screw extends tangentially to the circumference formed by the ring and substantially perpendicularly to said diametral plane. The ridges are produced by stamping or pressing and are in the form of a sector of a nut. The rack is displaced outwardly of the plane of the strip, which comprises two planar side portions flanking an offset central portion providing a guide groove in the lower face of the strip, which co-operates with a corresponding raised portion provided in the bottom of the housing.
