Abstract: An assembly for controlling the reciprocating movement of the upper and lower frames of a shed-forming device of a weaving loom wherein on the chassis on either side of the shed-forming device two cams are provided which are each in engagement with the end of an offset lever fitted on a shaft to which is connected a balance beam. The ends of the balance beam are connected to the first ends of two connecting rods which have their other ends articulated to first and second rocking levers. The first rocking lever is split having oppositely oriented spaced arms which are separated by the second rocking lever. The first rocking lever is fitted on a pin pivoting in a bearing on the chassis. The second rocking lever is mounted to rotate about the pin of the first rocking lever and the first and second rocking levers are connected to the upper and lower frames by short and long articulated levers.

Abstract: In a weaving loom, an assembly for controlling the reciprocating movement of the upper and lower frames of the shed-forming device which assembly includes a shaft of which the ends are each associated with the ends of two connecting rods by way of eccentrics and which connecting rods are articulated on rocking levers whose arms are pivotally associated with short and long levers attached respectively to the upper and lower frames of the shed-forming device.

Abstract: A block and tackel arrangement for connecting the hooks of a shed forming device in a weaving loom with heddle or harness threads wherein the block and tackle arrangement includes an idler pulley (17) of reduced diameter which is mounted below conventional pulleys (6,8) about which different lines or cables are supported. A guide pulley (18) is provided at the base of the mechanism and the lower cable element (20) is fixed by one of its ends to a fixed point (21), extends over the idle pulley (17), the guide pulley (18) and pulley (8) with its free end carrying a collar (13a) to which is attached heddle or harness threads (15).

Abstract: A three-position weaving mechanism for a weaving loom which includes a plurality of shed-forming devices having tackle assemblies disposed in side by side relationship and wherein the lower pulleys of adjacent tackle assemblies are joined by a cord which passes over such pulleys and an intermediate idler pulley which is secured to the frame of the weaving loom.

Abstract: This invention relates to a device for forming the shed in a weaving loom, wherein the elements which constitute the system for lifting the warp yarns are, from top to bottom, an electro-magnet, two blades, two mobile hooks and a lifting beam. These elements are disposed one below the other between two vertical separating partitions constituting an assembly. A certain number of assemblies are assembled in a row so as to form a module which may be selectively inserted within the loom frame.
