  • Patent number: 4461325
Abstract: The present invention relates to electromagnetic devices for controlling dobbies and other weaving systems, wherein the control unit which contains the electro-magnets is borne by an oscillating frame on which is mounted an equal number of selectors associated with a spring which tends to move them away from the associated poles of magnetic attraction. Each selector acts selectively on the actuating hooks of the dobby, and a fixed stop ensuring its return into applied position against the magnet upon return into a non-actuating position. The device is applicable to the control of a dobby with double swinging levers or to the control of a rotating dobby.

  • Patent number: 4444225
Abstract: The present invention relates to improvements in rotating dobbies. The control of the coupling pawl for connection to the driving shaft is effected by one of two right-angled pivoting levers actuated in the same zone by push elements of the reading device of the dobby. When a lever engages in a notch in a plate fixed to the eccentric, the nose of the engaged one of the pivoting levers pushes a catch on the pawl which pivots the pawl causing the withdrawal of its finger to release connection with drive from the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4397445
Abstract: The present invention relates to safety valve unions wherein the rotating plug is shaped so as to retain when it is in open position the terminal end of the male element which is released when said plug has been brought into closed position. The opposite faces of the boss and of the pivoting lever are shaped to provide an intermediate position in which the plug is closed, the downstream pipe of the male element is decompressed through a channel and a vent in register, and the terminal is still locked in the bore. The invention is more particularly applicable to the hydraulic or pneumatic accessory industry.

  • Patent number: 4394039
Abstract: The invention relates to multiple unions of the type comprising two plates which carry elementary unions and which are brought close together or spaced apart, by force, with the aid of at least one maneuvering device of the rack and pinion type. Initial latching of the two plates is ensured by a bolt-pillar mechanism, the pinions having on the shaft an angular clearance enabling them to remain immobile and to allow unlocking when the handle begins its movement for the separation of the two plates. With this handle are associated locking means which ensure retention thereof in locked position.

  • Patent number: 4387741
Abstract: The present invention relates to the system of angular connection of the eccentric of each element of a dobby either with the shaft or with the corresponding arm. This connection is ensured by a double hook borne by the eccentric and mounted to rock so that one or the other of its noses engages in a notch made in the periphery of a driving device fixed to the shaft, or in a notch in a bead of the arm.

  • Patent number: 4351368
Abstract: The invention relates to dobbies of the type with double swinging levers and fastening hooks, provided with an auxiliary actuating system ensuring functioning for a weave different from that corresponding to the conventional reading device. To this end, a cam is provided, of such section that, by an angular displacement imparted after the momentary retraction of the disc of the reading device, the heel provided on certain of the hooks is pushed, causing said latter to pivot. The invention finds particular application in the textile industry.

  • Patent number: 4326562
Abstract: The present invention relates to dobbies of the type in which each double swinging lever is controlled by two pulling hooks cooperating with pulling knives with reciprocal movement. Each non-selected pulling hook in each pair is raised away from the associated pulling knife by a stirrup coupled to a vertical rod having a gripper at its upper end, the gripper being selectively coupled to a raising knife under the control of the reading mechanism. The raising knife is raised or lowered by a vertical slide mechanism which is coupled directly by a connecting rod to a lowering knife of the dobbie, so that the slide mechanism and raising knife move up and down synchronously therewith. The invention finds particular application in the textile industry.

  • Patent number: 4311328
Abstract: The present invention relates to a rapid pipe coupling device of the type in which the male and female elements are locked by at least one bar housed in an oblique notch and urged forward locking by a spring. The locking member is formed by a push member movable in a transverse notch in the body; this push member has a wedge shaped slope oriented to displace the bar from locking position in response to manual pressure. The invention finds particular application in accessories for hydraulic or pneumatic installations.

  • Patent number: 4250930
Abstract: In a reading device for dobby or other weaving mechanism with double swinging levers and retaining hooks, of the type in which said hooks are actuated by a disc with radial lugs or the equivalent, at least one input gear connected for rotation with the shaft of the mechanism and meshing with an intermediate gear carried by a mobile member which can be displaced concentrically with respect to the axis of said input gear, and which intermediate gear meshes with an output gear in turn with the lug disc coupled for rotation and carried by a supporting lever associated with yieldable means operative to maintain said output gear in mesh with the intermediate gear, so that by selectively angularly displacing the mobile member about the input shaft, it is possible either to achieve a simple angular shift of the lug disc to allow for unweaving during reverse motion, or alternatively to achieve the retraction of said lug disc away from the heels of the hooks in order to level all of the heddle frames.

  • Patent number: 4178958
Abstract: A non-return device for welding installations, of the kind comprising a movable valve arranged so as to free the passage of gas for the normal supply of the torch from a welding gas generator and, by contrast, to block said passage in the case of a back-pressure resulting from an explosion in the region of the torch burner, the said valve including for this purpose closure means co-operating with a seat under the effect of resilient return means, the valve including second closure means operating inversely to the first in such a manner that the displacement of said valve, under the effect of a sudden fall in pressure downstream of the device and against return means conveniently calibrated to this effect, ensures the automatic cut-off of the flow of gas through the assembly.
