Abstract: A slot machine game that allows a player to lock in particular symbol(s) after playing a game. If the player prefers one or more particular symbols to remain in position after a spin, the player can indicate to the slot machine the desire to lock in the particular symbols, wherein the player will have to pay a price for the ability to have those symbols locked in for a next spin. Then, the player places another wager and spins the reels while the particular symbols remain unchanged.
Abstract: A slot machine method, apparatus, and computer readable storage to implement a bonus round for a slot machine game that allows players to use manual dexterity in order to earn prizes in a bonus round. Moving elements can be selected (e.g., shot, touched, etc.) and if successfully selected, the player can earn a bonus award. Bonus awards can accumulate until the bonus round is over. The bonus round can end when either a predefined time is over or the player selects a termination element.
Abstract: A slot machine method, apparatus, and computer readable storage to implement a side wager for a slot machine which allows a player on a first machine to win bonus awards when a player on other (participating) machines wins a jackpot. The side wager activates the ability to win a bonus for a predetermined period of time or a predetermined number of spins on the other machines, or some other limiting factor.
Abstract: A method and apparatus to implement special features on slot machine games. An additional award indicator, such as a bonus wheel, a perimeter prize wheel, an additional reel, etc., can be used to modify an award of a main game. The additional award indicator can be successively activated while a resultant combination of mains reels of the slot game remain fixed.

Abstract: A slot machine game that allows the player to respin a selected reel. Before the selected reel is respun, the game displays to the player which paylines can potentially win awards, as well as what particular combinations are available to the player to win. In this manner, a player may be encouraged to make a respin. The player will also find this information helpful in determining whether to purchase a respin.
Abstract: A slot machine method, apparatus, and computer readable storage to allow a player to make a side wager on a slot machine game. The side wager is based on a finishing order of the reels of the slot machine, which will stop spinning in a random order instead of the typical left to right order. The player can predict (or be presented with) a predicted order, and the predicted order is compared to an actual stopping order after the reels are spun to determine if the side wager is a winner, and for how much.
