Abstract: A karaoke system for establishing a karaoke session includes a karaoke hub coupled to a display and a plurality of mobile devices wirelessly coupled to the karaoke hub. Each one of the plurality of mobile devices includes a corresponding output audio stream associated therewith. The karaoke hub is configured to receive and combine into a single output audio signal the corresponding output audio streams associated with each one of the plurality of mobile devices. The karaoke hub is further configured to transmit the single output audio signal to a display coupled to the karaoke hub.
Abstract: A system for predicting ovulation cycles by employing an application running on a mobile communication device such as an iPhone®, a Blackberry™, or an Android-based smartphone is provided. The system includes a basal body temperature thermometer coupled to a mobile communication device. The thermometer takes temperature measurements, encodes the temperature measurements and transmits the encoded temperature measurements to the mobile communication device. The mobile communication device receives and decodes the encoded temperature measurements. The mobile communication device includes an application that analyzes the decoded temperature measurements to determine whether they are satisfactory or unsatisfactory, provides feedback to a user in real-time and provides an ovulation prediction.
Abstract: The present utility provides a universal remote control device in smart phone, where it consists of two components: a hardware device which can be connected to a smart phone through the hands-free/earpiece connector; and a piece of software application running on the smart phone. The hardware device consists of a microcontroller unit (MCU), an IR transmitter, an IR receiver and a power regeneration circuit. This device adds the IR front-end components to a smart phone, thus enabling it to have capability to receive and transmit IR signals compatible with those in the electrical appliances and their corresponding remote controls. The software application running on the smart phone is responsible for generating an audio signal to power the hardware device and displaying a graphical representation of the remote control, usually consisting of buttons, knots, dials, a simulated LCD, etc. The present invention provides a universal remote control device in smart phone as an enhancement.
