Abstract: The disclosed technology includes a portable stand for planar displays or surfaces such as tablets, cellular phones, and other electronic devices that supports the display such that it is consistent with a user's line of sight. One embodiment includes two complementary components and has the utility to function independently as a stand that can be quickly and easily assembled, or as an attachment that can be connected to a data input device such as a wireless keyboard to unite the display and the input device into a single functioning unit. One embodiment provides an independent stand that is adaptable to service devices of varying dimensions, portable for mobile use, economical to produce and purchase, and compact such that it may be readily shipped or stored.
