The mount includes a tubular section for receiving the handheld showerhead's handle, and a mounting surface which affixes to an underlying surface such as shower stall wall. The handle includes a circumferential groove and the mount includes a “C” shaped locking clip capable of locking within the handle's groove.

The impeller is directly adjacent to, upstream and in fluid connection with the entrance of the tapered chamber which tapers inwardly until it reaches its smallest measurement at the nozzle outlet. Consequently, the swirling water and the tapered chamber create a low-pressure environment, thereby increasing the water's velocity and force. Due to the high velocity and the outlet's small opening, water is ejected from the outlet as small droplets in a fine mist spray pattern.

The vortex chamber rotates the flow of water around the showerhead's longitudinal axis before the water enters the nozzle's venturi. This causes the water to swirl within the venturi's low-pressure zone to increase the venturi effect of aspirating air into water within the showerhead's nozzle.
