    Abstract: A chuck selectively convertible between two different configurations for either externally gripping a workpiece while simultaneously pulling same down against stops or internally gripping a workpiece while simultaneously pulling same down against stops. The same components of the chuck mechanism are used in both configurations, and conversion is accomplished simply by reversing certain ones of these components.
