Abstract: A cross-belt sorter (1) comprises a plurality of interconnected carriers (3) which are drivable behind each other in a conveying direction (X). Each of the carriers (3) is provided with a cross-belt (7) for supporting a product. The cross-belt (7) is drivable in a belt driving direction (Y) extending transversely to the conveying direction (X). A pushing element (25) is mounted to the cross-belt (7) for pushing against a product on the cross-belt (7) in the event that a product on the cross-belt (7) tends to move with respect to the cross-belt (7) in opposite direction of the belt driving direction (Y). The pushing element (25) has an upright orientation with respect to the cross-belt (7) and is supported in the belt driving direction (Y) by a supporting member (26) which is at least between opposite side edges of the cross-belt (7) fixed to the pushing element (25) and to the cross-belt (7) at respective distances from an intersection between the pushing element (25) and the crossbelt (7).

Abstract: A sorting apparatus for sorting products comprises an endless conveying element comprising a support surface. The support surface makes an angle with a horizontal plane, at least at the location of the outlets, about an axis parallel to the conveying direction. The sorting apparatus further comprises locking elements arranged one behind the other, as seen in the conveying direction, which move along synchronously with the conveying element and which can be unlocked independently of each other, which locking elements function to hold the products in place on the support surface. Upon activation of a selected unlocking mechanism, a product is moved downwards from the conveying element towards the outlet under the influence of the force of gravity being exerted thereon.

Abstract: An apparatus for transport and controlled discharge of a load has a frame with a guide for a series of displaceable transport containers, a drive unit for carrying the containers in an endless track, a resetting device for placing a container in a starting position and discharge station for selectively relieving a container of a load. The containers have an at least partially movable carrying panel for receiving the load thereon, including a tray which can be operated selectively between a transporting and discharge positions. The guide provides on either side of the containers a support surface on which the containers support with free-running wheels. On at least one side of the containers the support surface displays a convexity in a direction transversely of the transport direction with an apex on which a running surface of at least one wheel is received.
