Patent number: 11023845Abstract: A “metadata model of a city's Internet of Everything and use thereof to implement citizen engagement through ‘user journeys’ and system intelligence through automated response logic. A framework that allows system integrators to build a metadata model of a city's IoE, which metadata model then enables city managers to implement user journeys and system intelligence, in incremental fashion, as the business needs of the city evolves.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2016Date of Patent: June 1, 2021Assignee: EUTECH CYBERNETICS PTE LTDInventors: Bandu J. Patent number: 9349107Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method by which an end user can monitor and manage multiple building systems with a single interface as well as customize and revise the settings and automated responses for multiple building systems based on input and transactions from multiple different building systems and enterprise applications. The invention takes the data and control functions from any and every control system and allows a user to build his or her own intelligent building, and to edit the control processes on their own at any time. The responses of building systems are process driven, rather than rules based, and the response process is fully editable by the end user. The system allows for multiple processes for a given input, depending, for example, on the location of the sensor providing the input.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2010Date of Patent: May 24, 2016Assignee: EUTECH CYBERNETICInventors: Bandu Wewalaarachchi, Haritharan Gunasingham, Haran Shivanan

Patent number: 7715326Abstract: A system and method for preventing unauthorized access to a website's sensitive information in which a website web server is located on a public network with a public IP address and known port number, but only performs a listening function. The responding function is located on a separate device on a private network with a private and dynamic IP address and having a randomly assigned port number. The responder has no listening sockets (open ports expecting to receive from client application) and therefore does not listen to the public network, and therefore is not accessible to unauthorized access, much in the way that a private user's PC is not accessible to unauthorized access. The web server having the listening function does not initiate connection with the device having the responding function because its private IP address is unreachable from the public network and unknown, even to the web server, and by virtue of the fact that there are no listening sockets to accept any requests.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2003Date of Patent: May 11, 2010Assignee: Eutech Cybernetics Pte. Patent number: 7587459Abstract: The invention is a system and method for publishing distributed applications accessible over a distributed network without having publishing computer to accept remote procedure calls from clients, and also allow integration between such distributed applications. In one embodiment, the invention includes a remote application computer having a service agent, translation file, and published software application thereon. The service agent provides the ability to identify the remote application computer and communicate with the distributed network, the translation file provides parameters to the service agent for interpreting the data i/o format of the published application, and the published application monitors and reports on conditions of a building or structure's environmental, security, and occupancy status.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2007Date of Patent: September 8, 2009Assignee: Eutech CyberneticsInventors: Bandu Wewalaarachchi, Lakshita Sanjeewa Wijerathne, Viraj Sanjaya Ramanayake, Adrian Roshan Liyanage

Patent number: 6957110Abstract: A method for automatically configuring a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system using an as-built drawing. The electronic as-built file is scanned for devices selected from a menu. A list is compiled of selected devices, including location and relational information for each device. Selected graphical information from the electronic as-built file is then converted into a preferred SCADA graphical user interface.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 2001Date of Patent: October 18, 2005Assignee: Eutech CyberneticsInventors: Bandu Wewalaarachchi, Pramond V. Patent number: 6571140Abstract: A system and method provide the creation and operation of remote real-time data monitoring and control systems. Such applications include a communications gateway coupled to real-time devices. The communications gateway transforms the real time data collected from disparate and non-interoperable systems in a single common data format. The communications gateway provides an object server with a list of the real-time devices to which the communications gateway is connected, and their attributes. The object server publishes this list. Subscribers can access this list, and request subscriptions to specific attributes of certain devices. The object server creates a data object corresponding to the requested information. A subscriber includes a service agent which accesses the object server. In addition, a subscriber may also comprise presentation cells, which provide a representation and mapping of data objects and hence underlying devices and systems, to allow a user to manage and control such systems.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 2000Date of Patent: May 27, 2003Assignee: Eutech Cybernetics Pte Ltd.Inventors: Bandu J. Patent number: 6067477Abstract: A system and method provide for the creation and operation of real-time enterprise-wide, personalize supervisory and control data acquisition systems. Personalized SCADA applications are constructed from a virtual application service and a personal agent framework using simple drag and drop operations or other high level action. The virtual application service includes a communications gateway that communicates with disparate and non-interoperable systems and external field devices to communicate low level time data collected from such systems into the application environment transforming the collected data in a single common data format. The virtual application service includes application cells that receive the reformatted data and process it to provide high level analysis and context, storing the processed data in an object server. The object server provides a unified, hierarchical object model for all of the data received from the underlying devices and systems.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 1998Date of Patent: May 23, 2000Assignee: Eutech Cybernetics Pte Ltd.Inventors: Bandu J.
