  • Patent number: 6473900
Abstract: In the device: at least one set of links sends packet formated digital information to the satellite, on at least two different frequencies; at least one satellite-borne module receives, multiplexes and re-formates the information on only one downlink; at least one of the links works in a Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) mode.

  • Patent number: 6344832
Abstract: The invention concerns a frequency converter arrangement for parabolic antennae receiving vertical and horizontal linear polarization signals, transmitted by two geostationary satellites not far from each other. The arrangement comprises two positive converter devices (5, 6) designed to receive the signal derived from a satellite, each device bearing means ensuring that the receiving antennae elements are oriented in the received signal plane and means to adapt to the different elevations of the two satellites, by rotating the converter device support. The arrangement is characterized in that the output portions (10) of the two converter devices (5, 6) are made in the form of a single-piece part (12) whereas the input portions (9) are separated and mounted selectively adjustable on the single-piece part (12), the arrangement being mounted rotating about an axis parallel to the two input portions (9).

  • Patent number: 6134225
Abstract: The device comprises at least one set of links that send packet formatted digital information to the satellite on at least two different frequencies, at least one second set of links on board the satellite receives the digital information packets, at least one packet time multiplexing module connected both to output of the second set of links and to input of a digital information formatting module comprising a scrambler connected to input of a part of a broadcasting DVB-S chain beginning by a convolutive interleaving block and terminating by a QPSK modulator, at least one clock on board the satellite, this clock, working in asynchronism with all earth clocks and driving the satellite-borne assembly.
