  • Patent number: 11361742
Abstract: Methods and systems for performing modified reverb techniques for audio signals are described. The method may involve receiving an audio signal, a modal reverb effect to be applied to the audio signal, and an indication of a plurality of frequencies. Modes of vibration of a space simulated by the reverb effect may be separated into a set of frequencies included in the input, and a set frequencies not included in the input. The modal reverb effect may be modified by separately adjusting the separate sets of modes of vibration. The modified effect may then be applied to the audio signal.

  • Publication number: 20210097972
Abstract: Methods and systems for performing modal reverb techniques for audio signals are described. The method may involve simplifying a reverb effect to be applied to the audio signal by receiving an IR, dividing the IR into a plurality of sub-bands, using a parametric estimation algorithm to determine respective parameters of the modes included in each sub-band, aggregating the respective modes of the sub-bands into a set; and truncating the set of aggregated modes into a subset of modes. Reverberation of the audio signal may be manipulated based on an IR that itself is based on the truncated subset of modes.

  • Patent number: 10430154
Abstract: The technology relates to processing one or more audio streams. The processing may include segmenting the one or more audio streams into structural components comprising a tonal stream and a transient stream. The tonal stream and the transient stream may be processed and combined to provide an output sound signal. The one or more audio streams may include a first audio stream from a first sound source and a second audio stream from a second sound source. The tonal stream may comprise sound from the first audio stream and the transient stream may comprise sound from the second audio stream. One or more sound effects may be added to the tonal stream or transient stream prior to combining.

Abstract: An inflatable cushion that is reusable, in particular as a doggy waste bag. One version of the inflatable cushion, air cushion or packaging cell has a folded edge and three sealed edges. One of the three sealed edges, or area adjacent thereto, has a weakened area that is capable of withstanding the pressure of gas from the packaging cell and the pressures involved in protecting an item being shipped, but is also capable of being torn by hand resulting in deflation of the inflatable cushion, air cushion or packaging cell.

  • Patent number: 7756110
Abstract: A method for controlling media stream processing comprises: (a) transmitting a media stream, via a first packet-based network, to an operator; (b) receiving from the operator, via a second packet-based network, a control signal for processing the media stream; (c) processing the media stream based on the control signal; and (d) transmitting the processed media stream to one or more users other than the operator. In another embodiment, an apparatus for controlling media stream processing comprises a server adapted to effect transmission of a media stream, via a first packet-based network, to an operator. The apparatus further comprises a processor adapted (i) to effect processing of the media stream based on a control signal received from the operator via a second packet-based network, and (ii) to provide the processed media stream to a transmitter for transmission to one or more users other than the operator.

  • Patent number: 6564112
Abstract: A method and system for manufacturing a particular system based on a universal system. The method includes designing the particular system on the universal system. The particular system as implemented on the universal system is then tested. The system is re-designed and re-tested until the particular system as tested on the universal system is acceptable. The final design of the particular system is sent to a manufacturer to be built using the elements of the universal system used to implement the particular system. After the manufacturer receives the design of the particular system as implemented on the universal system, it identifies the elements of the universal system used to implement the particular system. The particular system is constructed using those elements of the universal system.

  • Patent number: 6281810
Abstract: Redundant avionics for flight instruments: a plurality of aircraft flight data sensors, which provide data that are normally displayed on indicators in the cockpit, are transmitted to two independent computers. Each computer is associated with and creates images representative of data sensed by the sensors on a respective projected image display creation device which is in the form of a liquid crystal display, for example. Associated illumination sources and one common or two respective sets of optics project the images from each image creation device on a new screen. The image creation device and the optics would cause the image representative of data from the same sensor to be projected to the same location on the screen regardless of which computer and image creation device provided and projected the image. The computers are independently operable for selectively causing the display of information corresponding to data received from none, some or all of the sensors.

  • Patent number: 5057835
Abstract: A map display system includes a vehicle symbol positioned in relation to background map data, and provides a large amount of relevant, easy-to-read map data to a user in a brief period of time. A first feature of the invention involves the drawing of aircraft landing and take-off areas in true size and orientation relative to background map data. A second feature involves display of navigation control areas in relation to an aircraft symbol. In accordance with a third feature, a user can select for display only objects meeting preselected criteria, such as airports having runways of a minimum length. A user can select an object for which text appears on the screen adjacent to that object and which may indicate relative position or distance to such object from the vehicle, in accordance with a fourth feature. A user can select full screen text of information concerning an object on a screen display, in accordance with a fifth feature.

  • Patent number: 4912447
Abstract: Improvement for power supplies include a protection circuit having a first L-C filter network, a second L-C filter network and a voltage clamping device such as a zener diode which is disposed between the two L-C filter networks. The protection circuit reduces the magnitude of overvoltage input transients which might otherwise damage the internal components of the inverter. For generating very high output voltages, the power supply includes a high voltage transformer and a Crockoft-Walton voltage multiplier coupled thereto. The high voltage transformer is coupled to an inverter through a coupling circuit which includes a capacitor in one leg of the primary winding and a parallel connected resistor/inductor in the other leg of the primary winding of the high voltage transformer. The high voltage transformer is formed of a multi-sectioned bobbin which is defined around an axially extending core.
