Abstract: A compression seal assembly that can be installed on a wall without requiring access to both sides of the wall. The compression seal comprises a core member, a split washer, a gasket, and a first nut. The core member includes a cylindrical body and a flange rigidly attached to the cylindrical body. The cylindrical body includes a smooth cylindrical portion separating the flange from a first set of threads. The split washer is helical shaped and has a first end and a second end. The split washer is ramped through the hole until the split washer is entirely on the first side of the wall. A gasket is then inserted onto the smooth cylindrical portion adjacent the second side of the wall, and the first nut is threaded onto the first set of threads. As the first nut is tightened, the split washer, the wall and the gasket are compressed between the flange and first nut.

Abstract: The invention provides an open-ended ratcheting wrench for a hex head fastener. The wrench includes a jaw having an inner surface defining an opening for receiving the fastener. The inner surface includes arcuate heel and nose surfaces that are configured to cause the jaw to ratchet when it is rotated in one direction and that drive the fastener when the jaw is rotated in the opposite direction. The inner surface also includes tapered surfaces that provide undercut areas to protect the corners on the fastener when torque is applied to the fastener. This reduces wear at the corners. The wrench also includes a manually operable handle for rotating the jaw.

Abstract: A hole producing assembly for a power drill including an adapter having one end operationally connected to the power drill such that the power drill rotates the adapter about an axis of rotation, the other end of the adapter includes a threaded shaft having threads that are of the four-start type, a cutter which has threads thereon that are complementary to the four-start threads on the adapter so that the cutter is threadably connectable to the adapter, the cutter has a cutting projection extending from the base and terminating in a cutting edge, and a spacer positioned between on the shaft of the adapter to aid in removal of the cutter from the adapter after use.
