Patent number: 11454031Abstract: A hand tool for placing a single insulation plate at one time atop an insulation board or a vapor barrier or membrane on a flat or low slope roof. The hand tool has a flexible member that carries a releasable connector having a grip strength that releasably retains one insulation plate. The flexible member flexes between a neutral first position and a flexed second position. When the flexible member is flexed towards the second position, the releasable connector releases the insulation plate to place the insulation plate in a desired location atop the insulation board or vapor barrier on the flat or low slope roof.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2021Date of Patent: September 27, 2022Assignee: EVERHARD PRODUCTS, INC.Inventors: Andrew J Horner, Roy S Ailstock

Patent number: 11225797Abstract: A hand tool has a plurality of similarly or identically shaped rollers aligned end-to-end along an axle such that the outer surface of each respective roller moves about an axis define by the axle. The hand tool may be a roofing roller tool that enables an impermeable vapor membrane or sheet to be applied to a vertical wall extending upwardly from an outer perimeter of a roof. The tool may be manipulated by an elongated pole handle coupled to a roller head or roller head frame.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2019Date of Patent: January 18, 2022Assignee: Everhard Products, Inc.Inventor: Andrew J. Publication number: 20130312909Abstract: A hand tool for press sealing roofing membranes by a roller mounted on one end of a bracket connected at a second hand to a handle. The handle and roller mounting bracket extend along first and second axes respectively, which axes form an included angle in the range of 50 degrees and 70 degrees. This angular relationship enables a user's wrist to be the natural wrist position when moving the roller along the membrane. The second axis of the roller mounting bracket preferably maintains an angle of between 20 degrees and 40 degrees with the roofing membranes as the roller is moved along the membrane.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2012Publication date: November 28, 2013Applicant: EVERHARD PRODUCTS, INC.Inventor: Lawrence J. Publication number: 20100096289Abstract: An improved stackable storage tray has a flat bottom wall with a generally U-shaped recess formed therein, a pair of end walls with a bar extending therebetween for manually transporting the tray, a pair of outwardly sloped side walls, and a plurality of dividers extending between the side walls and upwardly extending divider walls forming a plurality of sub-compartments. The improvements include a pair of spaced generally right angled ledges on the end walls which lie in a horizontal plane with top edges of the side wall, sub-compartment dividers, and a divider edge formed by the upstanding divider walls for supporting an upper tray stacked thereon; a plurality of bosses on the bottom wall providing support feet for the tray; and drain holes in the bosses and in the sub-compartments dividers for removing any liquid trapped in the sub-compartments.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2009Publication date: April 22, 2010Applicant: EVERHARD PRODUCTS, INC.Inventors: Scott L. Anderson, Daniel J. Long, John J. Wojcicki, JR.

Patent number: 7588523Abstract: A hand tool for press-welding and sealing overlapping edges of roofing membrane sheets by a roller mounted on one end of a handle. A rigid rod extends outwardly from an opposite end of the handle and has a curved section and a rounded corner which terminates in an angled linear section ending in a distal end. The distal end is used as a pick to test the integrity of the formed seam and the curved section is used for applying pressure to specific areas on the seam. The tool can perform both functions of applying pressure to the sheets by the roller and then testing the integrity of the formed seam without requiring excessive reorientation or movement of the tool in the hand of an installer.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 2005Date of Patent: September 15, 2009Assignee: Everhard Products, Inc.Inventors: Andrew J. Horner, Daryl J. Waite

Patent number: 5174840Abstract: A calender stock shell for the storing and transportation of strip material is formed by extruding a hollow tubular extrudate of a high impact ABS material and then forming a plurality of tubes therefrom. A pair of hubs, also formed of a high impact ABS material, preferably by injection molding, is secured in the end openings of the tube by an adhesive. A metal guide sleeve is trapped within the hollow interior of the tube by being seated within complementary shaped internal recesses formed in each of the hubs which surround central openings formed therein to facilitate the placement of a reel bar through the shell when placing the shell on a piece of equipment.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 1991Date of Patent: December 29, 1992Assignee: Everhard Products, Inc.Inventor: James L.
