  • Patent number: 11668538
Abstract: A compact action for a firearm including an upper receiver housing incorporating a barrel. A bolt and supporting carrier is positioned within the receiver housing so that the bolt is engaged to a rear receiver end of the barrel in a cartridge chambering position. Guide rods are supported within the housing above the barrel and extend in parallel to a rear located end plate. The carrier includes a carrier key supported by and displaceable along the guide rods between the barrel and a rearward bumper component. A gas tube extends from a forward located gas block overlaying a gas discharge aperture in the barrel to a gas key for actuating the carrier rearwardly following discharge of a ballistic from the barrel. A charging handle is manually displaceable along a slot in the housing for actuating an interior slider component, in turn actuating the carrier key to cycle the carrier and bolt.

  • Patent number: 11662166
Abstract: A magazine for a firearm with a magazine well and a reciprocating bolt. A body of the magazine is engaged within the well and has a top, interconnected front, sides and rear walls, and a bottom defining a cartridge holding interior. A spring supported within the interior contacts the bottom and upwardly biases a follower positioned atop the spring toward an opening in the top, through which the cartridges are loaded into the magazine. A feed tower integrated into the top supports a pair of feed lips positioned along opposed edges defining the opening. An aperture is formed in the top rearward of the feed tower. A rear upward projection of the follower aligns with the aperture and, following discharge of a final cartridge, elevates above the top in order to actuate a separate bolt catch or bolt hold open adaptor to prevent a forward returning motion of the bolt.

  • Patent number: 11340034
Abstract: A dual lever ambidextrous and reversible safety selector switch for a firearm having a central rotatable component pivotally mountable through a transverse directed aperture in a lower receiver of the firearm for selective rotation relative the receiver. First and second circumferential slots are configured within opposite sides of the component, each of the slots exhibiting a seating detent located at each of opposite ends so that a spring loaded detent pin in the lower receiver seats within one of the configured slots for displacement between the end detents between each of “safe” and “fire” configurations. At least one end face of the component has either a recessed or projecting shape with a pair of acute angled corners. A pair of control levers are provided, with at least one lever attaching to the end face of the component, so that either lever can be manipulated from either side of the lower receiver for actuating the selector.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method, a device and/or a system of cast vinyl film and, more particularly, to a method and system to provide a repositionable translucent cast vinyl film with an air egress adhesive layer. In one aspect, a method includes mixing a solvent based polyvinyl chloride (PVC) organosol with a stabilizer and an additive to get a desired shade of pellucid tint of a translucent thermoplastic stretch wrap film. Further, the method includes casting the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) organosol onto a film carrier and moving the film carrier through a plurality of ovens at varying temperatures to care into a solid film. The cured solid film is laminated to an air-egress liner casted with a solvent-borne acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive to provide ease of installation. The adhesive includes an air release patterning to allow escape of air from back of the film while repositioning the film around a complex shaped surface.

  • Patent number: 11112209
Abstract: A combination receiver tube and adjustable stock for a firearm having a receiver. The receiver tube extends rearwardly from the receiver and includes a series of recessed locations formed along a length extending surface thereof, each of the recesses further including an ascending surface extending at an acute angle from the recessed location to an outer surface of the tube. The stock has a forward opening communicating with an open interior so that the stock is slidably mounted over the receiver tube to support axial movement of the stock relative to the tube. The stock includes a lug which is biased for seating within a first selected one of the recessed locations and, upon counter-biasing the lug to unseat from the recessed location, permitting the stock to be rearwardly extended from the receiver tube across consecutive recessed locations.

  • Patent number: 10948249
Abstract: A delayed blowback mechanism integrated into a firearm bolt and carrier subassembly. A cam pin extends from the bolt and, upon initiation of the cartridge discharge cycle, engages a guiding clearance or pocket configured within the firearm upper receiver for providing recoil and discharge force attenuation in a radial delayed fashion during cycling of the bolt carrier group. Recoil attenuation between the cam pin and upper receiver clearance can be provided alone or assisted by chamfer or angled contour to either or both of the radially projecting and rear contact surfaces of the bolt locking lugs and the opposing inward projections configured within the barrel extension grooves. In any variant, the bolt and associated carrier retain sufficient inertia to cycle through the discharge cycle to the set position concurrent with reloading a subsequent cartridge.

  • Patent number: 10436535
Abstract: An auto sear for a firearm having a lower receiver with a trigger, disconnector and hammer, and an upper receiver with a reciprocating bolt carrier group. The sear includes a body pivotally mounted within the lower receiver rearwardly of the trigger, disconnector and hammer. The body includes a forward-most planar shaped portion in which are configured each of lower and upper trip engagement location. Upon the hammer initially striking the firing pin, the bolt carrier subsequently displaces rearwardly following cartridge discharge in order to rotate the hammer downwardly into contact with the lower trip engaging location. Upon a return forward displacement of the bolt carrier, an underside ledge thereof contacts the upper trip engaging location in order to pivot the lower engaging location out of contact with the hammer, permitting the same to rotate back into striking contact with the firing pin.
