Publication number: 20230405287Abstract: A method of using an integrated catheter assembly includes a housing member, an outer lumen member extending from the housing member, and a needle member slidably or movably coupled to the housing member, wherein the needle member can be extended beyond a first port of the outer lumen member in a first position and concealed in the outer lumen member in a second position. The outer lumen member has a side port between its first and second ports such that when the needle is extended in the first position and inserted into an arteriovenous fistula, blood from the arteriovenous fistula flashes into the needle member, is diverted through a relief port of the needle member out the side port of the outer lumen member for delivery to a dialysis machine. The assembly further includes an inner lumen member that is disposable through the housing member to extend out from the same the outer lumen member to provide dialyzed blood from the machine.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2023Publication date: December 21, 2023Applicant: Evolve Medicus, Inc.Inventors: Mark Menefee Mettauer, Steve Lepke

Publication number: 20230398329Abstract: An integrated catheter assembly includes a housing member, an outer lumen member extending from the housing member, and a needle member having a needle slidably or movably coupled to the housing member, wherein the needle can be extended beyond the outer lumen. Once a flash of blood is confirmed the needle member is uncoupled from the housing member and removed from within the patient's vein or artery. A non-removable inner lumen member is connected to the housing member. The distal end of the outer lumen is sealed against the distal end of the inner lumen and includes at having at least one aperture to transfer blood out of the patient to the dialysis machine. The integrated catheter assembly therefore receives and delivers blood through a single injection site.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 20, 2023Publication date: December 14, 2023Applicant: Evolve Medicus, Inc.Inventors: Mark Menefee Mettauer, Steve Lepke

Patent number: 11826519Abstract: An integrated catheter assembly includes a housing member, an outer lumen member extending from the housing member, and a needle member having a needle slidably or movably coupled to the housing member, wherein the needle can be extended beyond the outer lumen. Once a flash of blood is confirmed the needle member is uncoupled from the housing member and removed from within the patent's vein or artery. An inner lumen member having an elongated member housing an inner lumen is then connected to the housing member. The integrated catheter assembly therefore receives and delivers blood through a single injection site.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2023Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: EVOLVE MEDICUS, INC.Inventors: Mark Menefee Mettauer, Steve Lepke

Publication number: 20230201523Abstract: An integrated catheter assembly includes a housing member, an outer lumen member extending from the housing member, and a needle member having a needle slidably or movably coupled to the housing member, wherein the needle can be extended beyond the outer lumen. Once a flash of blood is confirmed the needle member is uncoupled from the housing member and removed from within the patent's vein or artery. An inner lumen member having an elongated member housing an inner lumen is then connected to the housing member. A thump slide supported within the elongated member and coupled to the inner lumen is advanced moving the inner lumen through the housing member and the outer lumen into the patient's vein or artery beyond the end of the outer lumen The end of the thump slide/elongated member is connected to tubing extending to a dialysis machine and this tubing is used to transfer clean or detoxed blood from the machine back into the patent.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 26, 2023Publication date: June 29, 2023Applicant: Evolve Medicus, Inc.Inventors: Mark Menefee Mettauer, Steve Lepke
