Abstract: The present invention relates to a lubricant composition comprising at least one polyalkyl(meth)acrylate including repeating units derived from (meth)acrylates having 6 to 22 carbon atoms in the alcohol radical, wherein the polyalkyl(meth)acrylate includes repeating units derived from ethylenically unsaturated monomers having at least one covalently bonded phosphorus atom. The present invention further relates to a polyalkyl(meth)acrylate suitable for such a lubricant composition and to the use of a polyalkyl(meth)acrylate having repeating units derived from ethylenically unsaturated monomers having at least one covalently bonded phosphorus atom for reducing friction.
Abstract: The present invention relates to use of a novel, single-component additive for addition to thermoplastics, in particular polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The resultant reduced friction delays melting of the thermoplastic during extrusion and therefore improves fluidity and lowers the process pressure required. The reduced friction moreover facilitates processing in shaping machinery by reducing adhesion to metal. In order to provide these technical improvements, the present invention provides a novel poly(meth)acrylate-based additive for thermoplastics, in particular for PVC. This features a poly(meth)acrylate backbone and long alkyl solid chains.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a component part comprising at least two components movable with respect to one another, between the surfaces of which is provided a film formed by a lubricant oil composition, the surface of at least one of the movable components being formed at least partly by a diamond-like-carbon layer (DLC layer) and the lubricant oil composition comprising at least one polymer comprising repeat units derived from amine derivatives of at least one polar ethylenically unsaturated monomer.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a lubricant composition for a process for reducing the paraffin content of mineral oil compositions, by providing a mineral oil composition with a dewaxing aid, cooling to form a paraffin precipitate and at least partly removing the paraffin precipitate formed. The dewaxing aid used is a copolymer mixture comprising at least three copolymers, the copolymers differing in the composition of the repeat units.

Abstract: The present invention relates to copolymers comprising ester groups and having at least one nonpolar segment P and at least one polar segment D, the polar segment D having at least 8 repeat units and the proportion by weight of dispersing repeat units in the polar segment D being at least 30%, based on the weight of the polar segment D, wherein the copolymer comprising ester groups is obtainable by NMP (nitroxide mediated polymerization). The invention further relates to lubricant oils having improved friction properties and comprising said copolymers.
