  • Patent number: 6250842
Abstract: A device for the releasable fastening of seats, bench seats or other objects on a floor of a motor vehicle, comprising a locking part, and a mating locking part which can be fastened to the floor. The locking part is movable by overcoming a spring force from a locking position, in which it cannot be uncoupled from the mating locking part, into a release position in which it can be uncoupled from the mating locking part. A blocking element, upon the uncoupling, retains the locking part in the release position by a positively locking interengagement.

  • Patent number: 6183014
Abstract: A device for damping the belt tension which occurs in a seat belt (16) in the event of a momentary stress of great force. In order for momentary stresses of great force on the seat belt (16) to be able to be absorbed without injury being caused, the device has at least two reels (6, 14), rollers or the like which deflect the seat belt (16) from its straight-line extent and at least one (14) of which can yield elastically in the transverse direction of the extent when a preset maximum force is exceeded.

  • Patent number: 6168217
Abstract: Mating closure part for a tailgate lock or door lock comprising a closure part with latch or the like and a mating closure part interacting therewith, having a closure member (2), in particular in the form of a closure block or closure bracket, which can be gripped by the latch and which, in order to generate a starting torque in closure direction (X), can be displaced from an open position (FIG. 3) into a closed position. The displacement of the closure member (2) is derived from the displacement of a threaded engagement part (spindle nut 3, 4) engaging in the thread of a rotationally driven spindle (5, 6).

  • Patent number: 6135561
Abstract: A seat back (35) with a headrest (40) on a vehicle seat (33). To reduce the whiplash effect during a front-end accident to a significant degree, the head rest (40) rests on a headrest support (38) that can be pivoted outward and forward around a horizontal axis (39), with the backward displacement of the support being restricted in terms of movement.

  • Patent number: 6106033
Abstract: A catch hook device for a front hood, or the like, on motor vehicles has a closure hoop and a catch hook, which can be fastened alternatively on the front end of the body of the car or on the front hood. The device holds the front hood in a slit-open position after the opening of the closure by mutual hook engagement. The hook engagement is detachable and can be obtained automatically upon the closing of the hood. In order to optimize the dependability of the closure and to prevent deformations, larger tolerance, etc.

  • Patent number: 6071036
Abstract: A device (1) for holding two structural parts in a spaced relationship with respect to each other, having a spacer for filling the distance between the two structural parts, which spacer has a support part (2) which can be brought into a position fixed in rotation with respect to the second structural part (7) and a rotary drive part (3) which can be displaced axially with respect to the support part (2) by rotation. The support part (2) and rotary drive part (3) rest on a helical engagement surface (14, 17) which has a slope which is opposite the slope of a thread of a screw (11) which, upon being screwed into an axial opening (15) in the rotary drive part (3) carries the latter therealong.

  • Patent number: 6019424
Abstract: A headrest (23) which pivots forward, by lever action, as a result of the mass of the upper body of a vehicle occupant acting on a pressure-bearing surface in the event of an impact from the rear. In order that in case of both a rear-end crash and a head-on crash of the vehicle, the headrest (23) follows the head of an individual sitting on the vehicle seat, the headrest (23) is positioned on a headrest carrier (17) which can be pivoted out of the backrest (3) in the forward direction and can be pivoted outward about a pin (19), this pin being located at a lower level than that of the pivot pin (21) of the headrest (23).

  • Patent number: 5895189
Abstract: A device for holding two structural parts (1, 2) in a spaced relationship with respect to each other, having a spacer for filling the distance between the two structural parts, the spacer having a support part (3) which can be brought into a position fixed for rotation with respect to the first structural part (1) and a rotary drive part (4) which can be displaced axially with respect to the support part (3) by rotation, the support part (3) and the rotary drive part (4) resting on a helical engagement surface (7, 8) which has a slope which is opposite the slope of a thread of a screw (5) which, upon being screwed into an axial opening (11) in the rotary drive part, carries the latter along in rotation. The support part (3) and rotary drive part (4) are magnetically attached to each other, the support part (3) and/or the rotary drive part (4) being of permanently magnetic material.
