Patent number: 9948154Abstract: An electronically commutated DC motor has a stator wound with a multi-phase stator winding, a permanent magnet rotor mounted rotatably about a motor axis, a circuit board, a guide plate electrically connected to the winding and a housing component. In one implementation, a DC motor can easily be manufactured with the fewest possible process steps, which exhibits a short axial length and a low weight as well as good heat-dissipation properties. It is also an object of the invention to create a DC motor with integrated electronics, whose motor interior can be filled with oil, and which holds the electronics sealed against this oil. For reasons of logistics, an attempt is also made for partial components, such as the electronics, to be designed such that they are capable of complete prior assembly and testing.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2015Date of Patent: April 17, 2018Assignees: Buhler Motor GmbH, MELECS EWS GmbH & Co. Publication number: 20110113254Abstract: A method for protecting a message or document. The method comprises encrypting the message using a first key associated with a first party; sending the encrypted message to a second party; encrypting the message using a second key associated with the second party, so that it is encrypted with two keys simultaneously; sending the encrypted message to the first party; decrypting the message using the first key; sending the message to the second party, the message being encrypted with the second key, and using the second key to decrypt the encrypted message, thereby exposing the original message.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 20, 2009Publication date: May 12, 2011Applicant: The University Court of the University of St. Andr ewsInventor: Michael Livesey

Patent number: 7798121Abstract: A device for detecting the angle of rotation of a throttle valve operated by an electric motor is disclosed. The valve is rotatably supported on a throttle valve shaft in an intake system of a throttle valve housing, wherein an actuator motor coupled to the throttle valve shaft predefines the throttle valve angular position in a manner controlled by a control unit, and wherein a predetermined value of the throttle valve angular position is predetermined by a manually operated predetermined-value input apparatus and is fed to the control unit. The predetermined-value input apparatus is coupled to a predetermined value sensor shaft, wherein the angular position of the predetermined value sensor shaft corresponds to the manually predefined predetermined value of the throttle valve angular position.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2007Date of Patent: September 21, 2010Assignee: MELECS EWS GmbH & Co KGInventors: Leopold Hellinger, Gerhard Neumann

Publication number: 20060105447Abstract: This method facilitates the cost effective treatment of liquid and solid waste in a landfill or composting facility. The ability to distribute the oxygen to the waste and remove the spent waste is the key to the process. The process can digest a megafill or treat massive green waste pile. Waste moisture content is increased, eliminating fires and removing a major constraining factor to degradation. Large quantities of liquid are oxygen-supplemented (therefore treated) and are added directly into the MSW or compost to maintain aerobic degradation. Oxygen is the limiting factor; water is the distribution method. Temperature increases with the availability of oxygen. The bacteria break down the solid and liquid waste. The material is available for cover or agricultural uses. Facility space is reused, odors are minimized, and environmental risk is minimized. Leachate is treated to the needs of the facility, which can be anywhere between total treatment and pretreatment.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 29, 2005Publication date: May 18, 2006Applicant: EWSInventor: Richard Aho

Patent number: 4643831Abstract: A system for water treatment includes the steps of superchlorinating the water to a level sufficient to destroy bacterial content in the water very rapidly, passing the water through a sand filter in which the medium includes beads of magnesium hydroxide and subjecting different portions of the filtered water to differing degrees of filtration by an activated charcoal filter, whereby to remove a sufficient proportion of the chlorine added to the water to reduce the residual chlorine to a level sufficient to maintain the water sterile without substantially influencing the taste of the water. Preferably, the sand and charcoal filters are disposed horizontally, and the depths of the filter beds are graded horizontally to provide the differing degrees of filtration to the water.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 1985Date of Patent: February 17, 1987Assignee: EWS Water Treatment Inc.Inventor: Brian Fletcher
