Abstract: A clip assembly secures standing seam skylight or roofing panels to substrates and allows for a full range of movements by the panels while eliminating or reducing frictional noises. The clip assembly may also be used with wall panel systems. The clip assembly includes a first clip member and a second clip member each having an upright member and an upper flange member and a lower flange member extending therefrom. The assembly further includes a gap formed between the upright member of the first clip member and the upright member of the second clip member. In one aspect the clip assembly includes a base which allows the assembly to slide.
Abstract: A panel clip assembly for use with skylight or roof panel systems and having allowance for reduced movement of panels both parallel and perpendicular to the seam formed by adjoining panels, together with improved allowance for rotational and pivotal movement of said panels. The panel clip includes a base member with a base plate and upward extending flanges; an interim mount member movably attached to the upward extending flanges of the base member by a pin assembly; and an upper clip assembly for receiving and constraining the panels. The upper clip member is movably attached to the mount member such that said clip member can slide in a direction parallel to the seam formed by adjoining roof panels. In addition, the mount member is capable of rotational movement in the plane of the panels and pivotal movement about the axis of the pin assembly.
Abstract: A framing system is provided for supporting glazing elements on a substrate, such as a building framework or an existing glazing system. The framing system includes a plurality of frames surrounding and supporting respective glazing elements. A plurality of frame members are joined to form sides of each frame. Each frame member includes a rabbet for receiving the glazing element having a pair of spaced sides and a base connecting said spaced sides, and a flange extending outwardly from the rabbet base. Flanges of frame members overlap with flanges of adjacent frame members of adjacent frames. Fasteners extend through the flanges for attaching the framing system to the substrate.
