Patents Assigned to Eye Lighting International
  • Publication number: 20200191367
Abstract: An aiming device configured for easily removable attachment to a light projecting luminaire. The device has a body with attachment members that are configured to fit a specific luminaire that has corresponding attachment receiving features, and is further configured with clamps for mounting a light source outputting a high intensity collimated visible light aiming beam such that, when the device is removably attached to the luminaire (i.e., latched in place) the laser is prepositioned to direct the laser beam parallel to a center axis of the luminaire's light output beam. Ideally the luminaire has preexisting features that can be utilized as the attachment receiving features for corresponding attachment members of a suitably configured aiming device.

  • Patent number: 10648624
Abstract: A high output lamp is made with LED filaments (i.e., LED chips mounted on a long narrow substrate and encapsulated in silicone). High output is enabled by structurally minimizing thermal resistance between filaments and bulb. The bulb is generally tubular and contains a mount structure with longitudinally extended LED filaments electrically and mechanically connected between ring or disc shaped end connectors, and spaced apart around the structure's perimeter. An outer surface of the LED filaments defines a mount structure perimeter that is held adjacent to an inner surface of the bulb, separated by a total diameter difference gap of substantially zero to three millimeters maximum. End connectors may have a cut out portion enabling resiliently compressible diameter. The bulb may be filled with pure helium, or pure hydrogen, or a mixture of the two. A contaminant cleaner inside the bulb may be an oxygen dispenser.

  • Patent number: 9958116
Abstract: A glass jacketed led lamp is characterized by a prismatic LED module positioned coaxial to the axis of a cylindrical glass jacket having an inside diameter D1, wherein the LED module comprises: a prismatic LED carrier structure having N longitudinal sides, and LEDs that are operationally mounted on at least one of the N sides; wherein: the carrier structure was formed by folding a single metal core printed circuit board (MCPCB) into a convex prismatic polyhedron; the prism cross section is an irregular and incomplete polygon such that the N sides are bounded by N+1 longitudinal fold edges, wherein a first edge and the (N+1)th edge are back edges that are spaced apart by a first separation GAP1.

  • Patent number: 9892905
Abstract: A stranded outer lead wire assembly for a quartz pinch sealed lamp. The stranded outer lead wire assembly is a butt welded connection of a refractory metal outer pinch lead (e.g., molybdenum solid wire) and a stranded soft metal lead wire (e.g., nickel wire strands twisted together). The assembly is prefabricated and then welded to sealing foil to make a four part foliated lead wire assembly for pinch sealing in the quartz outer jacket. The foliated lead wire assembly and a quartz envelope lamp utilizing the stranded outer lead wire assembly are also claimed. The sealing machine is adapted to protect the stranded outer lead assembly with a water cooled sleeve. In an embodiment, the outer end of the stranded lead is fused to prevent fraying.

  • Patent number: 9814116
Abstract: An LED lamp is enhanced by adding an integral control receptacle, wherein a frame structure of the lamp having a horizontal top surface is adapted by attaching a photocontrol receptacle on the top surface and wiring it for powering some pins of the receptacle and for connecting some pins for controlling functions of the LED lamp. The control is provided by plugging a suitable controller into the receptacle. Advantageously, a metal plate is attached between the receptacle and the lamp frame, thereby enhancing performance in ways that include heat sinking, blocking uplight, reflecting added light down and outward. Additional lighting effects are derived from optionally shaping the plate, providing different surfaces on it, and/or attaching more LEDs on it.

  • Patent number: 8496360
Abstract: An LED lighting apparatus and method provide efficient illumination in a downward and forward direction toward a preferential side, by mounting a plurality of LED devices to the apparatus in at least one horizontal row oriented perpendicularly to the downward and forward direction; mounting a vertical reflector behind and parallel to the horizontal row; and orienting the LED apparatus such that the vertical reflector extends substantially straight downward. A two axis orthogonally symmetric secondary lens is associated with each LED and the vertical reflector has a specular reflective front surface facing the LEDs. The vertical reflector may be curved around ends of the row of LEDs. Also it may be continued further downward, on the outside of a cover lens, by a backlight shield with a straight linear outer edge that extends horizontally across an uplight ring shield. The backlight shield may have a specular or diffuse reflecting front surface.

  • Patent number: 8432093
Abstract: An arc tube light source supported by a discontinuous two-part (top and bottom) frame inside a bulb of an HID lamp is ruggedized to reduce weld breakage under vibration and shock. Each of the top and bottom frames is substantially U-shaped, with the open end of the U-shape being attached by a strap to a pinch of the arc tube. For ruggedization a bracing strap is fixed to, and extends between, two sides of the frame and is welded to a lead wire extending from the pinch. Strength is enhanced if two lead wires extend from the pinch, and the bracing strap is welded to both. Advantageously the two lead wires are sides of a U-shaped wire such as a “U-pin”. Further stabilization may be achieved by using braces attached to both of the top and bottom frames and extended out against surrounding parts of the bulb.
