Abstract: An accessory device for use in conjunction with an electronic device (e.g., a smartphone, tablet or the like) is provided that incorporates an extendable camera that interacts with the electronic device to deliver still and/or moving images. The accessory device is adapted to be mounted with respect to the portable electronic device and to facilitate communication between the camera and the processing unit associated with the electronic device. The accessory device includes a rotatable dial that allows rotation of the extendable camera from a non-deployed axial orientation to a deployed axial orientation.
