  • Patent number: 10996753
Abstract: A multi-mode eye-tracking system allows independent control of a set of illuminators while providing accurate calculations of both corneal reflections and pupil centers. One illumination mode includes alternating back and forth between a pair of illuminators during successive time segments, then activating both illuminators after a predetermined time interval. One eye-tracking mode includes alternating back and forth between a pair of illuminators during successive time segments, but selecting a single illuminator for activation during successive time segments in the event that a previous computation was unsatisfactory for a given illuminator. One illumination mode includes activating a single illuminator based on the lateral position of the gaze point on the display.

  • Patent number: 10788893
Abstract: A method of integrating an eye tracking assembly into a computer display comprises: providing a computer display having a bottom edge, a horizontal dimension H and a vertical dimension V; attaching a backplane to the display such that a first portion extends below the display, the first portion having a horizontal dimension H and a vertical dimension D; and adhering a transparent layer to the display such that a second portion extends below the display, the second portion having a horizontal dimension H and a vertical dimension D; and installing the tracking assembly at least partially inside an accessory region between the first and second portions.

  • Patent number: 10685748
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing and storing eye-tracking data. A visual stimulus is provided to an experimental subject on a display. Eye-tracking data associated with the behavior of the experimental subject is acquired and stored while observing the visual stimulus on the display. The eye-tracking data is stored as primary data and secondary data, wherein the primary data is stored in an encrypted form using a secret key associated with the experimental subject. In response to a research request, the secondary data is transmitted for storage in a research database and, in response to a second research request authorized by the experimental subject, the primary data is transmitted for storage in the research database subsequent to decrypting the primary data using the secret key.
