    Abstract: A thermostatic valve in which all of the functioning parts are formed in an insert which is threaded into the valve housing. The insert can include a body for guiding the valve stem and having a sleeve forming a main valve unit and an auxiliary valve unit, the latter being engageable by a limiting body to restrict flow through the valve in the fully open position of the main valve member with respect to the main valve seat.
