Abstract: A blind riveter comprises chuck jaws for clamping a tension shaft of a blind rivet and a longitudinally movable tension chuck for moving the chuck jaws radially relative to the tension shaft for clamping and releasing the tension shaft as the tension shaft longitudinally moves in relation to the chuck jaws back and forth from a charging position into a tension position. As the tension shaft longitudinally moves, the chuck jaws and a clamped tension shaft are carried along until reaching a tear off position of the tension shaft. A step face is pressed against the chuck jaws by a loaded spring for pressing the chuck jaws into the charging position. A loaded return spring presses the tension chuck into the charging position. Means for moving the tension chuck against the force of the return spring is provided. The charging position of the tension chuck can be shifted with an adjustable abutment for the return spring, where the position of the abutment is adjusted to vary the load of the return spring.

Abstract: A blind riveter comprises a casing, a tension chuck in the casing, means for moving the chuck longitudinally in the casing and a closed hydraulic system for sliding the chuck moving means longitudinally in the casing. In order to determine if the chuck is moving sufficiently in the casing, a view window in the casing and a visible marking on the chuck moving means or the chuck are provided.

Abstract: A blind riveter comprises a chuck, a hydraulic system for moving the chuck, and a pneumatic system comprising a cylinder, a piston, a movable piston rod attached to the piston, a longitudinally slidable valve tappet, and valve means for a supply of compressed air. The longitudinal sliding of the valve tappet operates the valve to supply compressed air into the cylinder. The movable piston rod of the pneumatic system moves in the hydraulic system under the working stroke of the piston to effect movement of the chuck. The valve tappet, the cylinder, and the piston of the pneumatic system are each sealed parallel to their respective axis and are all interspersed longitudinally.
