Patent number: 9689608Abstract: Processes and devices for recovering natural gas liquid from a hydrocarbon containing gas are provided by introduction of compressed air to a vortex tube. The vortex tube generates a cold air stream that is introduced into a heat exchanger. A hydrocarbon containing gas of higher temperature than the cold air stream is introduced into the heat exchanger, so that the cold air stream in the heat exchanger cools the hydrocarbon containing gas to condense natural gas vapors in the hydrocarbon containing gas to liquid hydrocarbons. In this manner, liquid hydrocarbons and dry hydrocarbon containing gas are obtained.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2014Date of Patent: June 27, 2017Assignee: Leed Fabrication Services, Inc.Inventor: Casey L. Patent number: 9410426Abstract: Provided are various devices and processes that harness the inherent kinetic energy of a flowing pressurized fluid to drive a compressor to compress a fluid without any need for electrical or chemical energy. The flowing fluid flows over a boundary layer disk turbine, or Tesla turbine, which is mechanically coupled to a compressor that compresses a fluid. The flowing fluid may be a natural gas from a hydrocarbon recovery operation. The compressed fluid may be a vapor gas from a hydrocarbon production, processing, or storage facility. Harnessing the kinetic energy of the flowing fluid increases economic efficiency of the process, while also avoiding unwanted emissions adverse to the environment and public health.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2012Date of Patent: August 9, 2016Assignee: Leed Fabrication Services, Inc.Inventor: Casey L. The flowing drive fluid flows over a boundary layer disk turbine, or Tesla turbine, which is mechanically coupled to a compressor that compresses a fluid. The flowing fluid may be a natural gas from a hydrocarbon recovery operation. The compressed fluid may be air that is used to power a pneumatic device in an industrial process. Harnessing the kinetic energy of the flowing fluid increases economic efficiency of the process, while also avoiding unwanted emissions adverse to the environment and public health.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2012Date of Patent: November 17, 2015Assignee: Leed Fabrication Services, Inc.Inventor: Casey L. Patent number: 8210269Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, systems and devices for handling drill pipe. One example embodiment includes a method for handling a drill pipe. The method includes moving the drill pipe by a crane having a grapple, wherein the crane is located on a skid. Further, the method includes receiving the drill pipe within a carriage affixed to the skid, wherein the carriage comprises vises and spinners. Finally, the method includes torquing and spinning the drill pipe within the carriage, whereby the method provides for rapid mating and unmating of the drill pipe for either laying in the ground or possibly into a vehicle for removal to a different location, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2009Date of Patent: July 3, 2012Assignee: Hydraulic & Fabrication Services, Inc.Inventors: Edward H. Patent number: 7780766Abstract: The invention provides devices and methods for collecting vapor gas generated by an oil-containing material within a production tank. The devices and associated methods result in produced oil having a reduced level of dissolved hydrocarbons and recovery of vapor gas for resale. The devices include vapor recovery units connected to conventional oil-production units so that a conventional unit is converted to a low emission unit. In an embodiment, the device is a column separator comprising a perforated, packed spiral baffle with one end that receives vapor gas and a second end for removing gas that has traversed the length of the column separator. Also provided are methods for converting an oil-production unit into a low-emission oil production unit using any of the devices disclosed herein.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2007Date of Patent: August 24, 2010Assignee: Leed Fabrication Services, Inc.Inventor: Delbert Thompson

Patent number: 7255148Abstract: The present invention is a tire derimming device adapted to separate the rubber portion of a tire from its rim and ring. The derimming device generally comprises a power actuator that contacts and bends the rim until the bead pops from the rim and the rim falls out of the tire thereby separating the rim from the ring. The device further comprises a shearing assembly for cutting the rubber portion of the tire into multiple pieces after the rim has been removed from the tire.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2006Date of Patent: August 14, 2007Assignee: Axmear Fabricating Services, Inc.Inventor: Alan Axmear

Patent number: 5954465Abstract: A load securing device is provided for securing a cylindrical load to the deck of a flatbed transportation vehicle, such as steel coils. The load securing device of the invention comprises a pair of elongate base members, one secured along each of the side edges of the flatbed. Two elongate load securing members are provided which are positioned transversely to the two base members. These two cross members are positioned one on either side of the cylindrical load. Where the cylindrical load to be secured includes a central opening, such as the eye of a steel coil, a central load securing member is preferably also provided. This central load securing member extends through the eye of the coil and is secured to the flatbed. If the cylindrical load is positioned on the flatbed vehicle with its axis generally parallel to the length of the flatbed, a third pair of elongate members is provided, each of which extends from one of the two load securing members to the other, one on either side of the load.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 1997Date of Patent: September 21, 1999Assignee: Excell Fabrication Service Inc.Inventor: James P.
