  • Publication number: 20140230621
Abstract: Impeller for a centrifugal food cutting apparatus, comprising a base plate and at least one set of paddle parts mounted on the base plate and provided for imparting centrifugal force to food products to be cut. Each set comprises inner and outer paddle parts defining at least a first stage and a second, cutting stage, the inner and outer paddle parts being offset from each other in radial and angular direction of the impeller, such that a safe compartment is defined for food product which is in the second stage.

  • Publication number: 20140041531
Abstract: A system comprising a plurality of apparatuses for cutting products, comprising: a base; a cutting head with at least one cutting element along the circumference of the cutting head for cutting products fed into the cutting head, the cutting head being rotatably fitted to the base; an impeller adapted for rotating concentrically within the cutting head to urge products fed into the cutting head towards the circumference of the cutting head by means of centrifugal force; a first drive mechanism for driving the rotation of the impeller at a first rotational speed setting the centrifugal force; and a second drive mechanism for driving the rotation of the cutting head at a second rotational speed, determined such with respect to the first rotational speed that the product is cut by the at least one cutting element at a predetermined cutting velocity; and a controller for controlling said apparatuses.

  • Patent number: 6238271
Abstract: An apparatus for the improved polishing or planarizing of workpiece surfaces which includes polishing pad with a plurality of self-cleaning and anti-tracking grooves along the surface of the pad. The self-cleaning grooves uniformly guide slurry and polishing debris radially outward across the surface of the pad while the anti-tracking capability acts to passively reduce the creation of localized wear zones into the polishing surface. Preferably, the grooves define a concentric pattern upon the surface of the pad and have a cross-section that is cut into a compound shape that has both a vertical and sloped surfaces. Other embodiments may include grooves with sloped parallel surfaces formed into spiral or radial patterns.

  • Patent number: 4642951
Abstract: A method for refurbishing a suspended acoustical tile ceiling when the tiles become soiled comprises inserting a tile insert beneath each soiled tile to provide a new face to the suspended ceiling. The tile insert comprises a thin layer of substantially rigid material with an acoustical pattern of holes extending therethrough. The tile insert has a front face which is of washable material. In this manner, an entire suspended ceiling system can be refurbished without the need to remove the existing tiles. The tile insert may include a moisture barrier on the rear face of the tile insert. The moisture barrier improves washability of the tile and significantly enhances the noise reduction properties of the refurbished suspended ceiling.

  • Patent number: 4284026
Abstract: An economical, space saving, durable, rot and corrosion resistant mooring device for mooring a boat while allowing full articulation. An adjustable base unit allows vertical adjustment of the basic mooring unit to account for varying freeboard of the dock and for required flotation assistance. Stationary landing arms and stationary landing arm uprights support a resilient stretch member allowing the bow of the boat to be craddled while the stern lines and dock cleats allow the tensioning of the boat in the mooring device thus allowing full articulation while severely limiting any pivotal action of the boat in response to wind and wave action.
