The invention is characterized in that the point (5) of the needle is withdrawn in the resting condition (3a) of the needle into the disc (1) at a first side (7) of the recess (6), in that the point (5) of the needle is located in the said locked condition (3b) at a second, opposing, side (8) of the recess (6), and in that the said recess is sufficiently large that the material of the item can be introduced into it such that the needle (3) can pass through the material of the item, and in that the disc (1) is arranged such that the point (5) of the needle (3) is housed at the said second side (8) of the recess (6) in the locked condition (3b), or is placed in contact with, or is in the vicinity of, the said second side.

The capsule inlet initially is sealed and, after the capsule has been swallowed, the inlet opens following contact with the body substance. An inner chamber preserves a vacuum or substantial under pressure when the inlet is sealed by a blocking member adjacent to the inlet. The blocking member is elastic and has a flow permitting configuration which admits the body substance into the inner chamber and a flow preventing configuration which blocks the inlet from the inside of the chamber when the pressure difference has been equalized.

Abstract: The invention relates to a theft-deterrent device intended to be attached to and locked on theft-attractive goods and constructed to co-act with a release device (14) for releasing the theft-deterrent device from said goods (12). The theft-deterrent device includes a first element (2) comprising a base element (4) and a connecting element (6) which projects out from the base element and is intended to be inserted through said goods, and a locking element (8) which is intended to be attached to and locked on said connecting element such as to prevent movement in a direction away from the base element and therewith to hold the anti-theft device securely on said goods. The locking element (8) can be released from the connecting element (6) by means of a temperature-dependent change in form of a release-part (66) provided in the locking element (8) and comprised of a material that has memory properties. Abstract: The present invention relates to an ampul containing a marking substance and intended for use in a theft-deterrent device for theft-attractive goods. According to the invention, the ampul (2) encloses an alarm element (8) which can be sensed or detected by an electronic alarm system and which is inaccessible unless the ampul (2) is broken, crushed or destroyed in some other way such as to release the marking substance (4). The invention also relates to a theft-deterrent device which includes such an ampul.
