    Abstract: A hand-fed printer for sheet material is described which includes an electronic print head, e.g., a dot matrix wire print head, a channel for cut sheets such as a slot that is open along one edge to receive and print the sheets. Sensors are provided for placing the print head in operation when the leading edge of the paper is sensed and for regulating the printing speed. An electronic data processor is connected to the print head to print letters and numbers on the sheet.
