  • Patent number: 4094214
Abstract: A light weight, portable device for stripping a section of tough, resilient electrical insulation from a free end portion of a wire to expose the electrical conductor previously enveloped by the sheath section. The section of the sheath enveloping the end portion is severed from the balance of the sheath by radially compressing a thin longitudinal sheath section through substantially the entire periphery thereof to form the section into one that has an extremely thin wall. When the sheath section is so compressed, the device is moved longitudinally and parallel to the wire in a direction to tension the compressed wall section to the extent it breaks, and longitudinal movement of the device being continued to slide the severed sheath section from the end portion of the electrical conductor to expose the latter. Stops are provided on the device to prevent the latter coming into contact with the electrical conductor during the compression of the sheath section.

  • Patent number: 4094213
Abstract: A lightweight, portable device that in one operation cuts an end portion of wire to a predetermined length, severs a tough resilient sheath of electrical insulating material therefrom, and slides the severed sheath of electrical insulating material from the wire to expose a bare electrical conductor of a predetermined length.

  • Patent number: 4071711
Abstract: This invention relates to a multi-point information distribution system useful for telephone service, data connecting systems and other applications which permits a central station to service a plurality of outlying stations, through transmission media such as radio waves or wire cables, in privacy and using only one transmitting medium such as a first transmitting carrier frequency and one separate receiving medium such as a different receiving carrier frequency. The transmission media couples selected input connection points to selected terminating circuit devices one at a time. In accordance with the invention, the content on input connecting ports from a community dial office or other central system is time sampled at the central station which then transmits a sequentially ordered sample stream. Each terminating circuit or device is adapted to receive the content of only one time slot, and to transmit only during a coordinated and synchronized time slot.

  • Patent number: 3986146
Abstract: A double balanced modulator-demodulator which includes an input transformer with a secondary winding including two sections and an output transformer including a primary section connected in parallel with said secondary winding and an output winding coupled to the primary winding. Two pairs of transistors are employed to alternately short one section of the input transformer responsive to a carrier signal to alternately connect the other section to the primary winding to provide a modulated or demodulated output signal.
