Abstract: A computer-based dynamic multi-dimensional visual programming environment is disclosed in which a visual programming language supports creation, operation, and maintenance of a model of a software system having a spatial arrangement of dynamic, polymorphic structures on a multi-dimensional world, to render the multi-dimensional grid into a display on a two-dimensional computer screen, and to construct, display, and act on instructions from a user interface associated with the two-dimensional screen to manipulate the dynamic, operable, multi-dimensional graphical items on the multi-dimensional grid.
