Abstract: A method includes receiving, by at least one processor, a request for a docket report associated with a particular case from a client computing device, parsing, by the at least one processor, the docket report and inserting at least one pleading tag in the docket report, each pleading tag inserted at a particular location in the docket report, transmitting, by the at least one processor, the docket report with the at least one pleading tag to the client computing device for display on a display of the client computing device, receiving, by the at least one processor, a selection of the at least one pleading tag and retrieving additional contextual content associated with the pleading tag, and transmitting, by the at least one processor, the additional contextual content associated with the pleading tag to the client computing device for display on the display of the client computing device.

Abstract: A multi-dimensional graphic user interface displays selected types of information regarding items included in one or more databases or returned by a search in accordance with locations on a two-dimensional display area or projection of a three-dimensional space on a two-dimensional area and provides for selective display of information about respective items in a database (e.g. metadata) as additional dimensions of the display which may be suppressed and/or selectively introduced to avoid user distraction or obscuring information or for comparison between screens which may indicate to a user the degree to which a particular item may or may not be germane to an issue or particular subject matter of interest. The graphic user interface thus provides an effective tool for evaluating search results and organizing detailed review thereof.

Abstract: An method for searching a database and sorting the results of a search to identify important, authoritative, and seminal records and to bring them to the front of the search result. The method comprises a means of rapidly identifying references to other records within each record and an algorithm that uses those references to identify the seminal, authoritative, and important cases. The invention may be used in legal research, permitting researches to find additional seminal documents that are missed by a standard Boolean search and to sort search results by seminality so that they can rapidly find the seminal case in an area of law.
