    Abstract: A bale separator for use in separating bales of crop materials. The bale is separated by the action of a rotatable member which engages the bale. The rotatable member includes a central shaft and a number of spaced apart fingers which extend out from the shaft to engage the bale during rotation of the shaft. The separator acts substantially without chopping the bale materials and can be used to separate and spread the bale materials in one operation. The separator can be mounted on a trailer for towing.
