Abstract: A shaped part for a trim part for vehicle interiors with a support made of a mat that contains fibers. The support includes a recess on a visible side that extends in longitudinal direction, and a protrusion on a back side that extends in longitudinal direction and corresponds with the recess on the visible side. The shaped part includes a plastic layer positioned in the area of the recess that is formed from a material other than the mat and that is firmly bonded to the recess. A device for the production of the shaped part as well as a procedure for the production of the shaped part are provided.
