    Abstract: An autonomous cruise control (ACC) system that implements a corrective action strategy based on driving conditions for a vehicle is provided. The ACC system includes a drive unit, vehicle sensors and a controller. The controller: receives at least signal from at least one vehicle sensor indicative of a driving condition; determines, based on the signal, whether the at least one signal satisfies a threshold indicative of an unsafe driving condition; and performs the corrective action strategy based on the determination that at least one signal satisfies an unsafe driving condition. The corrective action strategy comprises at least one of: (i) increasing a preset distance to a target vehicle; (ii) communicating a message to a human machine interface indicative of an unsafe driving condition; (iii) communicating a signal to vehicle brakes to initiate a braking event; and (iv) communicating a signal to a traction control system to alter an acceleration setting.

The EVCU is configured to act as a secondary controller during the refueling operations such that it and the other modules connected via the set of hardwire wakeup lines are able to transition to an asleep state to save low voltage power during the refueling operation.

The thermal management system performs efficient cabin heating with heat recovery of the battery system and electric drive system at low temperatures. When one of a plurality of conditions exist to keep one or more of the plurality of buses of the CAN awake during an ignition-off period, the supervisory controller sends a signal to the SGW module that causes it to only communicate on a specific set of buses of the plurality of buses of the CAN to thereby reduce energy consumption of components on the CAN that would have otherwise been awoken by the SGW module.

In one exemplary implementation, the high-voltage battery quick release system includes a first quick release switch that sends an activation signal indicative of a battery disconnect request. A mechanical decoupled is configured to mechanically decouple the high-voltage battery from the vehicle. An electrical decoupler is configured to electrically disconnect the high-voltage battery from the vehicle. A controller receives a signal from the first quick release switch and, responsive to the activation signal, (i) sends a signal to the mechanical decoupler that mechanically decouples the high-voltage battery from the vehicle and (ii) electrically disconnects the high-voltage battery from the vehicle.

The regenerative system resistor is selectively moveable between a first position during the regenerative braking in the first mode and a second position where regenerative power is directed to the regenerative system resistor and dissipated as heat in a second mode. At least one fan is disposed on the regenerative system resistor and selectively operates to direct air onto the regenerative system resistor based on operating conditions.
