  • Patent number: 8622353
Abstract: A support device for a rotary drum having at least one roller capable of cooperating with the drum. At least two bearings permit the rotation of the roller about its axis of rotation. The support device has a chassis into which the bearings are secured. The chassis is mounted for pivoting about a pivotal axis substantially perpendicular to the plane passing through the axis of rotation of the roller and perpendicular to a block onto which the support device is placed. The device also includes a connector which is flexible in a given direction and rigid in the directions orthogonal to the direction of flexibility. The connector maintains the bearings on the block while permitting free pivotal movement of the chassis in such a way to permit alignment of the roller on the drum in the event of pivoting.

  • Patent number: 8245963
Abstract: A grain size and/or pulverulent-matter drying apparatus for the treatment of suspended mineral particles, at least 90% in weight of which have a size less than 60 mm, primarily includes a substantially vertical gas pipe with an ascending flow provided with a gas inlet, a lower opening and an upper opening between which a supply opening is also provided for insertion of matter. A portion of the matter, or so-called “fines”, can escape with the gas through the upper opening due to the bearing capacity of the ascending flow, while another coarser portion of the matter is not carried away by the gas and falls into the lower opening. The apparatus also has a device for creating turbulence, which favors the separation of the different grain sizes and the suspension of matter, provided at the internal wall of the pipe and located between the lower opening and the supply opening.

  • Patent number: 6481651
Abstract: A process for the grain size reduction of a raw material in piece form, wherein: all or part of the material in piece form is subjected to a grinding operation, capable of enabling to be obtained at its output a material in grain form having a requisite grain size distribution, starting out from any given grain size of the material in piece form; downstream, the material in grain form obtained is directed exclusively towards a common container, whatever the size of the grains, so as to obtain, in a single run, in the said container, a mixture of material in grain form having the grain size distribution, for use as such.

  • Patent number: 6318559
Abstract: A centrifugal type pneumatic separator having a rotor and a housing. The rotor has a plurality of vanes distributed around a periphery thereof. The housing contains the rotor. The housing has an air input conduit, a material input conduit and an evacuation conduit. The air input conduit passes air through channels formed between adjacent vanes such that air and material flows toward the evacuation conduit. The rotor is divided so as to define at least two separate passages whereby air from the air input conduit flows into the evacuation conduit as two separate and parallel streams.

  • Patent number: 6193177
Abstract: A grinding apparatus for forward feeding material in a drum in which the grinding apparatus has a circular grinding track therein. The drum is driven in rotation at a speed such that material therein is held on the circular grinding track by centrifugal force. A knife is positioned in an upper descending portion of the drum for detaching material from the circular grinding track. A deflecting plate is disposed beneath the knife so as to receive materials detached by the knife and to divert the detached materials toward the output of the drum. The knife is disposed such that the knife has an active face forming an angle of between +15° and −50° with a radial plane extending between a horizontal axis of the drum and an edge of the active face.

  • Patent number: 6179233
Abstract: A grinder for use in wet grinding having a roller or wheel rolling on a circular track and elastically pressed thereon. The materials to be ground are subjected to several layer on bed grinding operations to enable the rational utilization of this type of grinder. During the time between two successive grinding operations in the grinder, water or another liquid is introduced by nozzles to the materials. The materials are drained and/or dried by a screen so as to reduce water content to below 20% in volume.

  • Patent number: 6042032
Abstract: A continuously operating process and a plant for comminuting by grinding a mineral material into grains of different sizes and dividing the ground product into several fractions each constituted by grains the dimensions of which are between a predetermined upper limit and a predetermined lower limit. Starting from a raw product, it is subjected to grinding by material layer crushing, the ground products are divided into several fractions comprising at least one coarse fraction and one fine fraction, and those grains the dimensions of which are greater than the upper limit of the coarse fraction, and possibly all or part of the fractions the grains of which have dimensions between the lower limit of the coarse fraction and the upper limit of the fine fraction, are returned to the grinder input.

  • Patent number: 5996915
Abstract: A vibrating cone crusher which crushes material between a cone and a frustoconical ring located therearound. An annular frame supports the ring and a device for generating circular vibrations in a horizontal plane. Tie rods connect the frame to a cone holder. Vertical vibration that disrupts crusher operation is reduced or neutralized by positioning the center of gravity of the cone, the cone holder, the frame, and items supported thereon adjacent the plane of vibratory forces.
