Abstract: A connector assembly of a first connector and a second connector. The connector assembly includes at least one latch biased to a locking position to lock the assembly in cooperation with a complementary locking section. The connector assembly includes a release member movable in a direction towards a top face of one of the connectors from a rest position to a release position. The release member pushes the latch away from the locking position when the release member is moved to the release position.
Abstract: A connector with a transceiver and a socket on a substrate receiving the transceiver. The transceiver is movable within the socket into a locked position in a direction parallel to the substrate. The socket and transceiver include complementary locking sections cooperating when the transceiver is in the locked position. During the movement the transceiver wipes over contacts, e.g., on the substrate or on an interposer.
Abstract: A cable guide boot assembly for attachment to a connector and guiding a cable is provided, including a boot portion and a connector portion. The connector portion is configured to be non-rotary fixed to the connector and to extend from the connector in a first direction relative to a mating direction of the connector, and includes a first connection portion having a non-circular circumferential shape relative to the first direction. The boot portion a second connection portion mated to the first connection portion. The second connection portion is configured to receive the first connection portion, such that the boot portion is attachable to the connector portion in a discrete number of twisting angles with respect to the first relative direction.
Abstract: A connector including a housing with a cable entry and a contact face presenting one or more conductors for signal transfer to associated conductors of a complementary connector. The connector includes a cable entry shield of an electro-conductive material gripping around the cable at the cable entry. The cable entry shield can for example be formed by a pin holder for holding alignment pins and the base of a locking device, jointly gripping around the cable.
Abstract: An electrical terminal includes an electrically conductive monolithic body including a mating end having a base, a contact beam spaced from the base in an upward direction, a side wall that extends from the base to the contact beam, and a spring assist member. The contact beam can be elastically flexible from an initial position whereby the spring assist member is spaced from the contact beam in the upward direction, to a deflected position whereby the contact beam abuts the spring assist member. The electrical is suited for assembly into a connector assembly which includes and inner core and an outer housing.
