Abstract: An insulation displacement contact comprises an electrically conductive contact body including a mounting portion that is configured to receive a complementary electrical component so as to contact an electrical terminal of the complementary electrical component, and a mating portion configured to attach to an electrical cable, the mating portion including a slot that extends into the contact body, and at least one piercing member that at least partially defines the slot such that, when the slot receives an electrical cable, the piercing member pierces an outer electrically insulative layer of the electrical cable and contacts an electrical conductor of the electrical cable that is disposed inside the electrically insulative layer.
Abstract: A connector assembly of a first connector and a second connector. The connector assembly includes at least one latch biased to a locking position to lock the assembly in cooperation with a complementary locking section. The connector assembly includes a release member movable in a direction towards a top face of one of the connectors from a rest position to a release position. The release member pushes the latch away from the locking position when the release member is moved to the release position.
Abstract: A connector with a transceiver and a socket on a substrate receiving the transceiver. The transceiver is movable within the socket into a locked position in a direction parallel to the substrate. The socket and transceiver include complementary locking sections cooperating when the transceiver is in the locked position. During the movement the transceiver wipes over contacts, e.g., on the substrate or on an interposer.
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a printed circuit board that includes a body that carries a plurality of ground conductors that define respective ground contact pads, and a plurality of signal conductors that define respective signal contact pads. The contact pads are configured to mate with electrical contacts of a complementary electrical connector. The printed circuit board includes a ground coupling assembly that electrically connects at least a pair of the ground conductors.
Abstract: A cable bolt comprising a plurality of flexible steel filaments formed around a central member, the cable bolt having spaced bulbous portions along the length of the bolt each bulbous portion defining a cavity containing a segmented ring that surrounds the central member to engage the filaments of the bulbous portion.
Abstract: Electrical connector assemblies are provided that include electrical connectors having electrical contacts that have receptacle mating ends are provided. The connector housings of the provided electrical connectors include alignment members that are capable of performing staged alignment of components of the electrical connector assemblies. The provided electrical connector assemblies and the electrical connectors provided therein are capable of operating at a data transfer rate of forty gigabits per second with worst case multi-active cross talk that does not exceed a range of about two percent to about four percent.

Abstract: A steel set assembly includes a first pair of legs and a second pair of legs with the first pair of legs being spaced from and positioned opposite the second pair of legs. First and second beams are provided with the first beam being secured to one leg of the first pair of legs and one leg of the second pair of legs. The second beam is secured to the other leg of the first pair of legs and the other leg of the second pair of legs. A panel is secured to the first and second beams and includes a base having a top surface and a bottom surface, a block having a top surface and a bottom surface, and a pad. The block is secured to the base and the pad is positioned between the top surface of the base and the bottom surface of the block.

Abstract: An electrical connector can includes a connector housing that includes a housing body and further includes at least one fulcrum supported by the housing body. The electrical connector further includes at least one electrical contact supported by the connector housing, the at least one electrical contact configured to mate with a complementary electrical contact of a complementary electrical connector. The electrical connector further includes a latch assembly. The latch assembly can include an actuator and a latch. The actuator can have an actuator portion, an attachment portion, and at least one arm that extends between the actuator portion and the attachment portion. The latch can have a latch body that defines an attachment portion that is configured to be attached to the attachment portion of the actuator, such that movement of the actuator in a predetermined direction causes the pivot member to ride along the fulcrum, thereby pivoting the latch from a latched position to an unlatched position.
