  • Patent number: 7490442
Abstract: A system and associated method for forming a window opening in a poured concrete wall and installing a window therein includes a one-piece reusable window buck having a number of retainers temporarily coupled thereto. An anchor portion of each retainer becomes embedded in the poured concrete wall and after the window buck is removed from the window opening formed in the wall, the window is easily and conveniently installed in the window opening and secured therein by the window retainer and cooperating clip on the window frame without the need for additional mechanical fasteners or tools.

  • Patent number: 6991205
Abstract: A concrete form has an embossed panel for molding a facade of brickwork in a particular pattern on a concrete wall or the like. Specially constructed support beams, struts and flanges are secured to the panel on the back of the panel to prevent undesired deformation of the borders. Each flange has a panel engaging surface and a plurality of projections on the surface adapted to be received within depressions in the borders presented by the brickwork pattern. The panel is embossed to resemble a brickwork pattern, and the marginal borders vertically traverse the pattern through vertically aligned joints in alternate courses, the flanges having similarly arranged projections to be received within the spaced depressions presented by the aligned, vertically spaced joints.

  • Patent number: 6691976
Abstract: A sliding pin is selectively mounted to the back of a poured concrete wall form panel for use in combination with a standard wedge for coupling adjacent panels of the concrete wall form together. The pin when attached to the panel conveniently slides relative to the panel to and between engaged, stowed and retracted positions. Furthermore, the pin is captured within a carrier and is rotatable for convenient access to the slot in the shank of the pin. The components of the system are durable to withstand impact blows by a hammer or other tool, do not require specialized hardware for their use and will not be fouled by splashed concrete or other debris.

  • Patent number: 6550194
Abstract: A system and associated method for forming a window opening in a poured concrete wall and installing a window therein includes a two-piece reusable window buck having a retainer temporarily coupled thereto. The retainer becomes partially embedded in the poured concrete wall and after the window buck is removed from the window opening formed in the wall, the window is easily and conveniently installed in the window opening and secured therein by the window retainer and cooperating spring clip on the window frame without the need for additional mechanical fasteners or tools.

  • Patent number: 6283439
Abstract: A wall form panel for use in constructing a poured concrete wall form is preferably extruded from aluminum and a plurality of sections which are joined together form the wall form panel. The outer side most sections of the wall form panel advantageously include integrally formed and extruded side flanges to provide enhanced load-bearing capability and reduce the likelihood of failure. The extruded panel sections are coupled together along longitudinally extending joint members and reinforced beams and struts are welded to the back face of the wall panel sections for added strength and rigidity. Advantageously, the wall form panel sections can be formed in a plurality of widths and joined together in various combinations to conveniently provide a variety of widths of wall form panels. The side flanges of the wall form panels includes holes for attaching pins and other associated hardware.

  • Patent number: 6173937
Abstract: Standard height wall form panels for poured concrete walls are extended with cap panels positioned on top thereof and secured thereto with cap clips which can be conveniently and easily installed and disassembled with the wall form panels. Furthermore, a spreader is used to maintain the spacing of the cap panels and provide a uniformly dimensioned concrete wall. Advantageously, the spreader in one embodiment allows a worker to pass a trowel there beneath to smooth out the top surface of the poured concrete wall.
