Abstract: A method of injection molding of plastic parts in a mold in continuing cycles including the plasticizing of a moldable plastic and injecting the moldable plastic into a mold cavity characterized in that after the mold cavity is charged with plastic, pressure is maintained on the mold through an accumulator, with the accumulator being completely purged and refilled during each cycle thereby avoiding having in the accumulator static or stale plastic.

Abstract: An easily replaceable collet assembly for use in a movable pallet containing a plurality of stations for releasably gripping and rotating a plurality of resin preforms as they are moved through a blow molding process for providing rapid reconfiguration of the stations to accept different sized preforms. There is a mounting member carried by the pallet for rotation, the mounting member comprising a mounting plate perpendicular to a rotatable shaft connecting it to the pallet; a locking member carried by the mounting member for rotation about the shaft; and, a collet member for releasably gripping a preform of a given size, the collet member including locking apparatus for interacting with the locking member to releasably attach the collet member to the mounting plate to be moved in combination therewith.

Abstract: A pallet assembly is disclosed for use in simultaneous transfer of four preheated plastic preforms from an oven, through a blow mold where they are blown into bottles to a location where the bottles are discharged. The pallet has a base (shuttle) on which is mounted a plurality of pilot bushings for locating the pallet relative to the blow mold and other locations; four (one of each preform) preform registering means (locating and support assemblies), each to vertically locate and horizontally center each preform.
