Publication number: 20120039459Abstract: A communications center supports sales and/or customer support services corresponding to a plurality of business affiliations. Operator terminals within the communications center are configurable. A management module manages the allocation of the operator terminals between the plurality of different business affiliations being supported by the communications center. The management module loads a set of configuration information into an operator terminal to match a determined business affiliation with a customer's communications device capabilities. At different times, e.g. corresponding to an initial communications session and a follow-on communications session, the same customer may be connected to different physical operator terminals and be communicating with different actual operators; however, from the perspective of the customer, the customer is made to think that the communication is with the same operator terminal and same operator.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2011Publication date: February 16, 2012Applicant: FEDERAL NETWORK SYSTEMS LLCInventors: John-Francis Mergen, Daniel Martin Wood

Publication number: 20090085770Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for alerting pedestrians as to the presence of a vehicle are provided. The system for providing alert tones may include a personal communication device, such as a mobile terminal, a vehicle communication system, and an output device. A driver of a vehicle equipped with a vehicle communication system may select an alert tone to download to his vehicle directly using the vehicle communication system or indirectly via a communications link between the personal communication device and the vehicle communication system. Upon approaching a pedestrian, the driver may actuate the vehicle communication system to sound the alert tone through the output device by interacting with an input device, such as a button or a switch. Actuation may also be caused by a voice command or automatically, through the detection of an object within a certain distance of the vehicle via one or more sensors.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2007Publication date: April 2, 2009Applicant: Federal Network Systems LLCInventor: John-Francis MERGEN

Publication number: 20080155263Abstract: Systems and methods for are provided tracking electronic files in computer networks using electronic signatures. A signature program installed on a network node inserts an electronic signature into certain encoded media files when they are transferred to other network users. Each network user is issued a unique electronic signature based on public key infrastructure. A signature repository supplies the recipient signature to the signature program prior to transferring a file. The sender and recipient signatures are appended to a portion of the media file, preferably the lower order bits to minimize perceptible file degradation. A transaction record is thereby written into the file and a copy of the transfer information is stored centrally at the repository, thereby creating a traceable record of a file's movement.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2006Publication date: June 26, 2008Applicants: Federal Network Systems LLC, Verizon business Financial Management Corp.Inventors: John-Francis Mergen, Wesley E. Publication number: 20080137657Abstract: A network device may transmit a request to each of a plurality of multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) networks for a label switched path (LSP) label, wherein each LSP label provides a defined quality of service connection through a corresponding MPLS network. The network device may then receive from each of the plurality of MPLS networks a corresponding LSP label and transmit at least one LSP label to each of a plurality of network devices, wherein the defined quality of service connection is provided through each of the plurality of MPLS networks.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 11, 2006Publication date: June 12, 2008Applicant: Federal Network Systems LLCInventor: Daniel M.
