Abstract: An attachment system for securing a funeral urn to funeral article includes a first twist mechanism associated with the funeral urn and a second twist mechanism associated with the funeral article. When the first twist mechanism and the second twist mechanism are engaged with each other, the first twist mechanism is rotatable relative to the second twist mechanism to define a locked position, whereby the first and second twist mechanisms are prohibited from axial movement, and an unlocked position, whereby the first and second twist mechanisms are permitted to move axially. Methods of attaching and removing the funeral urn to/from the funeral article using the attachment system are also disclosed.
Abstract: An urn carrier for a funeral vehicle having a casket compartment is disclosed. The urn carrier includes an urn support that is configured to receive at least one urn, and a movement element that is configured to removably receive the urn support. The movement element is configured to move the urn support along a length of the casket compartment between various positions including a stowed position and a ceremonial position. A funeral vehicle having such an urn carrier and a method of handling an urn in a funeral vehicle are also disclosed.
