Abstract: A pressure sensor including capacitive pressure sensors and computing elements taking into account the dynamic calibration curves of capacitive pressure sensors. Also, an insole including the pressure sensor, which is for insertion into an article of footwear, and a calibration system that includes that includes the insole. Further, a computer-implemented method for determining the notal normal force applied on the pressure sensor.
Abstract: Footwear including an inertial measurement unit (IMU); a pressure sensor (PS); and a data processing unit configured to estimate gait data by applying a particle filter. A method of processing the gait data in the footwear, and a computer program to, when the program is executed by a computer, cause the computer to carry out the method.
Abstract: An insole configured to be disposed in a shoe worn by a person, in particular during a walking period of the person. The insole includes a force and/or pressure measurement unit configured to acquire at least one representative measurement of the force and/or pressure exerted on the insole by the person, a motion measurement acquisition unit configured to acquire at least one measure representative of a motion of the person’s foot, and a processing unit configured to receive the force and/or pressure measurement and the motion measurement, to compute at least one walking parameter and to control the emission of stimulation at a walking moment according to the value of the walking parameter.
Abstract: An insole for insertion into an article of footwear, comprising flexible upper sheet, lower sheet, insulating dielectric sheet, capacitive force sensors with upper electrodes and lower electrodes and networks of upper conductive leads and lower conductive leads. The insole comprises a chip support member and control and transmit electronics comprising a control electronic and a wireless transceiver. An upper contacting tab of the upper sheet is in surface contact with the chip support member and comprises conductive leads connected to the upper electrodes. A lower contacting tab of the lower sheet is in surface contact with the chip support member and comprises conductive leads connected to the lower electrodes.
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and to a process for manufacturing a system including a network of sensors including a sheet of dielectric material that is elastically deformable under compressive and shear stress, each cell of the network including a first capacitive sensor for sensing normal pressure in a first direction, a second capacitive sensor for sensing shear stress in a second direction and a third capacitive sensor for sensing shear stress in a third direction. Each capacitive sensor includes a first electrode fixed to the first side of the sheet of dielectric material and a second electrode fixed to the second side of the sheet of dielectric material, the first electrodes of the capacitive sensors of a given cell being connected in series to a first electrically conductive track connecting a row of cells of the network of sensors.
