Patent number: 5574585Abstract: For the transmission of signals triggered by long key depressions from a transmitter to a receiver, repeat signals (R) are transmitted while the key is held down. Releasing the key triggers a separate shift signal (S).A burst-pause modulation method is used to transmit the repeat and shift signals (R) and (S).Information units are defined here by different lengths of the burst intervals. The burst intervals and the burst packets are selected in such a way that infrared transmitters with a limited power supply can be used.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 1995Date of Patent: November 12, 1996Assignee: Feller AGInventors: Markus Thaler, Urs Jost, Stefan Sigrist, Peter Schmid

Patent number: 5382947Abstract: An operation system for electrical consumers (19) has an operating device with a transmitter and control devices with receivers (16). The control devices have an evaluation unit (17) and a control unit (18) which is driven by the evaluation unit and controls the electrical consumers (19). The evaluation unit (17) distinguishes between control signals and scenario commands. When specific scenario commands are received, the state of the control unit (18) and hence the state of the electrical consumer (19) can be stored and re-established. A separate converter which evaluates the signals received from the transmitter and forwards them to the control devices can preferably also be used.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 1993Date of Patent: January 17, 1995Assignee: Feller AGInventors: Markus Thaler, Peter Schmid

Patent number: 4959025Abstract: Three terminal prongs are anchored in the base (1) of the apparatus plug. For a bipolar fuse protection thereof two safety fuse cartridges (10) are located in a fuse carrier (8) in a separate adjacent base compartment (7) into which fuse carrier (8) can be inserted and be withdrawn and which opens over the upper side of the base and has a selected depth for a minimal mounting depth. The bottom cap (12) of the safety fuse cartridge rests against a bottom contact terminal (14) located fixed at the bottom of the base compartment with a connecting lug (15) extending towards the outside of the base and electrically connected with a connecting lug of one terminal prong (4).Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 1989Date of Patent: September 25, 1990Assignee: Feller AGInventors: Walter Eberhard, Andre Simmler

Patent number: 4949222Abstract: The electrical apparatus combination includes a plurality of electrical components which are for instance an outlet apparatus socket, an inlet apparatus plug, an apparatus switch and a filter which in order to allow an electrical interconnection are arranged on a printed circuit board onto the reverse side of which conductors are placed onto which contact members such as contact prongs located in each electrical component and plugged onto the circuit board are soldered. A releasably mounted protective cover protects the bottom side of the printed circuit board which comprises the conductors and confers additional stability to the apparatus combination. The printed circuit board replaces the otherwise necessary electrical wiring between a plurality of electrical components having various functions.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 1989Date of Patent: August 14, 1990Assignee: Feller AGInventors: Peter Bender, Maruizio Belle

Patent number: 4887881Abstract: The plugging apparatus, may such be a plug and/or a socket has a plurality of terminals or plug contact sockets. These serve for the transmission of electrical energy and include light wave conductors integrated therein for the transmission of optical information signals via one and the same plugging apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 1988Date of Patent: December 19, 1989Assignee: Feller AGInventor: Peter Rutimann

Patent number: 4683450Abstract: For suppression of high-frequency spurious signals (noise) present on an electrical transmission line, the line incorporates at least one section comprising a distributed low-pass filter. This section is constructed so that its wave impedance (Z.sub.1) has a different value than the wave impedance (Z.sub.0) of the neighboring line sections. This filter line section additionally provides considerable dielectric losses and/or skin effect losses. At both ends of the filter line section, at which the wave impedance changes, multiple reflections arise that attenuate the high-frequency spurious signals (noise). The dielectric or skin effect losses produce strong attenuation of the undesired resonances that arise from the reflections, as well as further attenuation of spurious signals in the highest frequency region.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 1983Date of Patent: July 28, 1987Assignee: Feller AGInventors: Jean-Joseph Max, Arvind Shah

Patent number: 4568137Abstract: An electrical connector has an arrangement for holding and connecting at least one fuse cartridge within the body of the connector, the arrangement including a fuse cartridge holder slideably received within a recess in the connector body, in a rectilinear manner, and secured in place in the connector body by a selectively disengageable latch mechanism.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 1984Date of Patent: February 4, 1986Assignee: Feller AGInventor: Karl Leuthold

Patent number: 4296277Abstract: A voice detector for supplying a control signal in an automatic telephone answering apparatus in response to a voice signal received from a telephone line. A first one of two parallel signal channels generates a first digital signal for an incoming signal having a minimum amplitude with a minimum duration. The second signal channel generates a second digital signal for an incoming signal having a minimum number of consecutive cycles with periods within a predetermined range corresponding to the frequency range of a ringing signal. A logic element combines the first and second digital signals to produce the control signal if simultaneously the first digital signal is present and the second digital signal is absent. Thereby, the control signal is produced only in response to an incoming voice signal, but not in response to a ringing or a noise signal.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 1979Date of Patent: October 20, 1981Assignee: Feller AGInventor: Hansruedi Daneffel

Patent number: 4164649Abstract: After having been read, individual sheets are initially introduced only partially into a first collection space for successfully read sheets. These partially introduced sheets are then introduced completely into said first collection space upon occurrence of a "go" decision from the reading. In contrast, upon occurrence of a "no go" decision, the partially introduced sheets are again withdrawn from the first collection space for successfully read sheets by an oppositely directed movement and are supplied to a separate second collection space for unsuccessfully read sheets. Also the apparatus for carrying out the foregoing.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 1978Date of Patent: August 14, 1979Assignee: Feller AGInventors: Max Anderegg, Kurt Rutimann
